SAMSUNG 19" TV comparison: LE19R71B vs SM940MW
Does anyone understand why Samsung markets a) LCD TV's with PC input and b) PC monitors with built in TV ?
It makes chosing between the two very hard work - I spoke to Samsung, to see if they could explain, but they weren't much help. I'm looking for a new 19" display, but don't care about the RF capabilities - it will be fed from a Digibox and DVD player. It will probably never be used with a PC. The SM940MW (monitor) seems very good value for money - £229 form Argos with a 3 year warranty, and there is some info about it on DS. The LE19R71B (TV) is £289 from Play with a 1 year warranty, no info I could find on DS Can anyone help do a comparison ? Cheers, MattC Last edited by MattC : 31-10-2006 at 09:44. |

I've seen both working side by side, the R series is much nicer looking, but picture quality wise, there's nothing to choose between them.

I've just litterally just taken delivery of the SM940MW (from argos at £229) and just finished setting it up. If using a DVD player with it, make sure you use component or higher as RGB scart looked absolutely terrible. However I'm using it with component and the PQ is wonderful for DVDs.
