Cos when she's on ITT she really looks dog rough - whilst she scrubs up quite well for the main show!
And agreed - she's the female equivalent of a dirty old man on the main show with her poor taste comments.

I hope we havent infringed the DS rules for correctness of posts - however I have to agree, Arlene is totally repulsive. she looks dirty and she talks dirty. if any of the male judges (OK semi male) made sexist comments about the lady celebs they would be in real trouble, so why should she be different?

I'm beginning to think that Carol Vorderman had a point when she talked about Arlene and her voting ..... she said something about Arlene glaring at her whilst they were in make up together (Carol had apparently cracked a joke about how the make up girls could make older women look good) and then had a story about how when she and Paul had finished their dance (yes THAT rumba) - she saw Arlene's eyes narrow - and out came the torrent of spitefull (but mostly true) comments!

This is all a bit unfair, not to say cruel! She is a well respected dancer and choreographer and you have to respect her for that at least, and anyway, who says we older ladies can`t have a little ogle/flirt occaisionally.

Well said Lansclass! I like Arlene, but will admit she can get a bit carried away sometimes, since when has it been a teenager's prerogative to swoon and flirt...there would seem to be quite a few ladies of a certain age on this forum that would make even Arlene blush.

I agreeD with you until ITT showed some of her comments about certain male celebs in previous years, she always seems to have one favourite that get's some rather unsuitable attention.
It does her no favours and deflects from her reputation to be seen to be almost salivating over some of the men.
A friend of mine went to an audition a while ago, Arlene was there and apparently looked like a random bag lady seeking warmth! Sloppy trackies ratty hair etc! 
..and it's a bit distasteful to be doing her salivating when said chap's wife and children are sitting the other side of the ballroom...
I thought she was out of order on Saturday night, marking Brendan down so much for disagreeing with the judges, and saying he should be 'running for the hills in his little white pants' a reference to Love island which i thought was unnecessary and below the belt.

I like Arlene, she does the 'bitch' thing perfectly and I don't mind her lusting over certain mail dancers. So do I

Have to say, I had no idea she was that old, or that she was apparently older than Len.
I find some of her comments inappropriate considering the kids of the chap in question are sitting in the same room...

Totally agree with you there - what would happen if one of the male judges did something like that? Never mind lighting her fire - it's more like hot flushes. That woman needs her HRT seeing to!
