Got so caught in Tissy's post, I forgot to give my tuppence-worth on the thread subject.....
Darren Bennett - don't get him at all. Even although he and Jill were sensational, I just got the feeling that there was no substance to him as an individual.

Lets face it - the PTB at SCD (hey a rhyme!) don't actually want us to like the same people - it would make the phone voting a bit surplus to requirements if we did!
It is possible to not like someone, or be slightly indifferent to them, without any bashing at all. Seeing the fors in a couple, but also the againsts isn't bashing.
Personally, I haven't been a 'fan' of anyone since I spent a whole afternoon colouring a sheet of Basildon Bond into a tartan extravaganza and the Bay City Rollers still ignored it.
Edited to say, that obviously the 30 year crush on Paul Weller doesn't make me a fan in anyway all, oh no

Can I go further off topic and say that Paul Weller is the only man I can think of that looks better with age. At 18 he was a callow, spotty youth (though naturally still a God), now he looks great - and his voice gets better and better. Must be all the fags. (sigh!)
I'd like to see the back of Matt and Lilia, mainly because I find Matt so darn irritating!

I see fms saying less than complimentary things about my favourite/s, I dont agree with them, however it`s their opinion and they are fully entitled to say them without me jumping on their backs complaining.
Allyfree, I totally agree with you regarding Darren, he and Jill were great together, however his partnership with Emma is disappointing, they seem like smiling nodding dogs just going through the motions without any genuine emotions. They are a good looking couple but there seems no spark there whatsoever

But thats the whole point of the tread we don't know any of these people we are just saying how they come across to us.
We can't all like everybody and just because you know/like her doesn't mean everybody will feel the same.

I too am quite suprised by Matt and Lilia I did expect far more from this coupling - but again no-one as yet has set my heart racing.

I don't really like Matt, and I agree there is definitely 'something' about Claire that I just don't like, think maybe she comes across as a bit smug.
I never really liked Camilla before but I don't mind her this time for some reason. I really don't like Karen though, she just sets my teeth on edge for some reason.

I agree with you about Camilla and Karen, I like Camilla this time as she has got a partner with potential, and none of the silly love speculating are they/aren't they nonsense going on. I didn't like Karen last year and nothing has changed.

I agree completely Tilly W. The coverage has been very, very uneven. I get the feeling we see Emma and Louisa practically every day, but very little of Matt, even in the footage they show. I'm convinced they're trying to influence the outcome because they don't think it's a good idea for the same professional to win two years running!

Ditto. Ditto, ditto, ditto.
Louisa for some reason isn't popular even outside of Strictly, reading EastEnders threads around the web and people don't *dislike* her, but no one seems to warm to her either. I couldn't say way specifically for, as i say, she's a lovley girl - really sweet and confident but I just can't warm to her whatsoever.
I just don't care for Matt at all - found him just as boring and remote on Celeb Masterchef and it seems like he's going through the motions here. He's a good enough dancer and and and Lilia aren't *not* getting on but I alawys forget he's there and although he seems nice enough and I like Lilia...can't warm to them for some reason.

I can't warm to Vincent at all. No idea why. He just gives me the heebie jeebies.
As for the celebreties, Matt Dawson isn't lighting my fire and Claire King annoys me with, though I think I know why that is - she's partnered with my least favourite profesional and she never stops gurning.
