Blah! I actually watch the Sunday repeat of X-Factor, even though the show isn't that great. It's a good white noise to ease you into the day - total wallpaper television. But how anyone can say it's better than gorgous, sparkly, stormy SCD is beyond me!

Guess it is an awards show hosted by ITV!

X factor appeals to the great unwashed who vote in these sorts of awards ceremonies (sorry for any offence).

The biggest difference I see from work colleagues who watch both the shows in equal measures is the X-Factor viewers say "wasn't it CRAP on Saturday? I only like about 2 of the singers..."

and the SCD viewers say "Wasn't SCD good? I didn't want any to go they are all trying so hard..."

SCD should have won.

mind you having said that they may have been afraid that brendan may have got up on the stage and started ranting about judges voting for the tv programmes etc!!! hehehe

I suspect that the voting public have just got a little bit fed up with all the arguing and biased scoring by the judges, all of the judges, are in effect, in danger of ruining a very good show, with a winning formula. I count myself as a huge dance fan, and a SCD fan in particular, but this year the standard of judging has ruined it for me.

The programme or the BBC did not deserve to win, even though the series is much much better than anything else on a Saturday night. The BBC need to recognise that they cannot and should not take the general public for granted. I no longer watch the main programme, only the highlights on a Sunday night. By doing so, I get to avoid all the foolishness that has gone on, and I get to see the dancing.

All in all, I want the BBC to sit up and take notice. An awards programme is nothing in itself, but it could the start of one or two signs that all is not well in SCD land.

I am sorry the last OP, but this sort of stuff on here is doing my head in.

I love SCD, so do most people I know. It is better than the X factor.

I was there last night, it did deserve to win.

It didn't not win as it is going down the pan or the BBC are ruining a show.

The X factor, which I also love has gone down hill in my opinion, but on the NTA's, the same people vote for the same people every year...Eastenders, the X factor and Doctor Who always win.

A 1000 or so people post on here. 7 or 8 million watch SCD. 1.5 million vote for the NTA's.

I love SCD, and fed up of all the negative stuff here. It will get pulled one day if people diss it so much. The BBC are taking note of these forums obviously, but it is not all our views? I keep reading everyone agrees with brendan. I don't and neither do alot of people I know who don't come on computers.

There are elements we don't like. We all do not like them. We all have things we like or dislike.

That is why I am cross with Brendan as he has started a huge negative wave going on, and I like Brendan. But he did not dance his best dance on Saturday. If he had, maybe I would agree with what he said, but he didn't.

People will shout me down, but I am fed up of reading on here how SCD has gone downhill, how crap it is, how terrible it is, how it needs to change.

Why? Everyone I know still loves it? Is it because of what Brendan said? Has he made everything seem bad? Is it because of the faults that were always there? I loved it with it's faults from day one!

Do you really want different dances, judges, etc?

I have watched it from series one and I think this series is very strong.

I always say, if you don't like it. don't watch it. I see a few people here tend to always list the negative rather than the positive.

Well I bloody completely and utterly love the show! Yes, it could improve in my eyes, but so could anything. One person may hate the judges, another may love them. One person may hate the music, another may love them, etc. This whole negativity is so not what I watch the show for.

If you hate it so, don't watch it. And if this forum annoys you so don't post.

Apologies...but hey ho.

*sounds the last post*

Excellently said!1I have just written on another thread that I think the Brendan thing should now be left to let the dust settle so that this weeks show does not carry on like last weeks ended. The show is fab,and each viewer will always think different things about the couples, music etc. That's what makes the world go round!!

The standard of dancing in this series is the highest it has ever been, and I have no wish to see any deviation from that. I love the Sunday highlights show, because of that very reason, because on the whole, you get to see the dancing, and hear very little else. The way it should be, after all, the dancing is the most important thing for me, not individuals trying to make a name for themselves, at the expense of others, whoever they may be.

Dancing should come out on top every time.

Don't forget the X Factor show has been on air for several more weeks than SCD as they show the auditions too. Therefore it will have had the chance to enter the public conscience more and perhaps led more neutral viewers to vote for it.

Did anyone really think SCD would win, honestly? I think and believe that SCD DESERVED to win, and I think a lot of you do too, but come on... The X Factor wins every year, I'm not surprised... I've come to the conclusion that if someone doesn't know what to vote for, they will be more likely to click TXF than SCD. It's not fair in that sense, but SCD is still the best... that was not the only robbery of the night, IMO
