Emo or Country
Been listening to "When the world stopped turning" after reading the last thread on "emo". So couldn't all music be classed as emo ?

yes Emo was derrived from the word "emotion" or "emotional" but that was purely to describe the people who were into its music, the moping teenagers kitted out in black all upset!!
Emo music however is very different, and all though Emos usualy find some emotional connection with the songs, the songs themselves are very flat and emotionless (unless you delve into the generally suicide lead lyrics). Emo music has almost no rythm, and its the lack of rythm which makes the songs feel emotionless and flat to me!! Emo(music) is basically another form of Metal! |
