In a word, no. The ratings thread on here will give you a clearer picture. Head to head, SCD is beating XFactor. Last week SCD got 7.5 and XF 6.8.

Seems to me as if they've given up trying to beat SCD...

I *think* they include the repeats of X factor in the ratings.

they are quoting the peak viewing after SCD finishes - not technically lying hate the way posters on here and the X factor forum make this into a bitter battle personally Im glad X factor is going later much better and the dire Robin Hood is nothing to miss

SCD highest viewing figures have been higher than XFactor's. All they've done here is pick a low one for SCD and the highest for XF and gone 'look, we beat them!'. I find it highly amusing that in a week where you have an XF judge insulting everyone who watches SCD, ITV are virtually admitting defeat.
I've enjoyed XF in the past but many will agree it is quite dire this year. Cowell has tried to turn it into American Idol without much success. Truth of the matter is, the XF main show last week barely beat Robin Hood and gap is certainly lessening. Changing the times may lessen its competition but it won't help improve the quality of the acts this year. Last edited by claire2281 : 02-11-2006 at 15:57. |
