I have been watching with interest this week the on-going saga following Brendan Cole's outburst. I have seen various intervierws this week, on various programs and channels, It has been Craig Revel Horewood who has been the judge to be interviewed on ALL occasions..Does anyone have any idea why "just Craig"? Why not Len? Arlene or anyone else from the panel...Maybe i'm cynical but it seems to me the others are going out of their way not to be interviewed on the subject

Len & Bruno are jetting to America to judge DWTS, so prsumbaly not around durign the week.

As for Arlene, she's maybe ensconced in a lab somewhere getting botoxed to the back teeth and having her blood drained and her veins re-filled with lemon juice.......

Mods, should this be merged with "Is Craig the new head judge?" as they're very similar?

Arlene's been doing rehearsals for the Sound of Music.

Has anyone told Arlene that Chitty chitty Bang Bang finished at the Palladium last year (where Sound of Music will be) and that they are no longer casting the part of the Child Catcher?

I noticed this as well, seems that Craig is the only one with a backbone to face up to the critisism(sp?) that has been around this week - good on him for facing up, bad on him for his comments last week though

But as has been pointed out Len, Arlene and Bruno have been elsewhere. It's not necessarily a lack of backbone of their part, but it is a lack of anything else to do on Craig's part! It's rather hard for Len and Bruno to do an interview in they're in the US for most of the week. And SoM opens in something like 10 days so it's no wonder Arlene is busy.

I wonder what would happen one week if one of the judges was ill?
dancingbearbear

They'd probably just have three judges ~ Stacey was ill for a few weeks of SDF & they went with just the three remaining judges.

Still rather convenient to somewhere else while the dust settles, no doubt Arlene will put her rather questionable behaviour down to be tired/exhausted etc, mind you having seen some her so called choreography in the past, I don't expect she's doing much.

Anyway with technology as advanced as it is, it wouldn't have taken much to have had a link up with the other two in the USA. It's one thing to be busy but to effectively double book yourself to the point of jet lag - what would happen if there was a problem with the flights back to the UK? Did anyone think of the logistical problems here?

I very much doubt Arlene would put her 'behaviour' down to anything but her own opinion. She's not one for making excuses about what she thinks.

With a 8 hr time-difference with California, where DWTS is filmed, I do think that it might be a bit OTT to expect Len and Bruno go on ITT. And I'm sure there are demands on their time by ABC while they are in the US.

Is it really that important to anybody that they all appear??

Barring a large-scale terror alert, I can't see their being problems with the flights becuase a) there are dozens of flights a day from LA to London (as well as other nearby Californian locations) and b) they may not even be taking scheduled airlines. And DWTS airs on Tues & Wed, so that leaves Thurs AND Fri for them to fly back.

To behave so appallingly and then not be around to justify your actions is not an excuse, ok so and 8 hour time difference is there, but it wouldn't take a few moments to make a call, talk via satelitte etc after all, the BBC and ABC are "in bed" together over the format of DWTS, actually at the moment it's only 7 hours until they shift for daylight saving. A pre-recorded interview wouldn't have gone amiss or even a written statement - just to stay silent about something that was so obviously explosive last week would not be tolerated. If that had been the dancers not appearing to justify their actions had they had a go at the judges, you can bet the judges would be out with the knives.

Only hope that Len and Bruno are behaving themselves out there as that sort of behaviour definitely won't be tolerated by the syndicates

American TV certainly doesn't tolerate that sort of language either.

Maybe they have failed to realise it's a matter of national importance to justify some scores on a Saturday night entertainment show even though they are half way across the world!

Behave so appallingly? What did they do? Did they do anything different than normal? Erm, no. They gave their opinions and their scores, just as they did last week, and the week before that.

You don't have to justify an opinion, becuase it's an opinion. We all have them. We might give reasons why we have a certain opinion, but that doesn't change it.

You, me, the dancers, the participants and the world may not like the opinions and scores of the judges, but they are not required to justify them.

Brendan gave his thoughts on the matter. Craig gave his. We really don't need to hear from every individual on the show. There just isn't that much airtime.

Bickering, lashing out at each other with the score paddles, swearing, letching, inuendo and all before the 9pm watershed, what sort of example is that to children who want to watch their favourite stars dance? My neice (who is 6) now thinks it's fine to go round and tell men in Tescos for one place that their buttocks are quite tight - needless to say use the F word "because Bruno said it"
