Razr v3i Questions
I have a couple of questions which I am hoping will be answered for me.
Q1) I've been told that although the Motorola Razr v3 (Silver, I think it is sometimes refered to as the V3i ?) has the video capture side disabled, I have been advised that there is a way of enabling the video capture side, how can this be done, I dont want to go opening up the phone, as some people on other sites have suggested, and messing around with it, so if there is a bit of software that I can use easily to enable this, I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction. Q2) I've read on several sites/forums that the V3 has additional memory which you can activate in a specific way, for the storage of music/videos. etc. Since I know nothing about this, if this is true and can be activated in some way with software, any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks everyone for your time. |

The V3 and V3i are two seperate phones altogether.
1) The V3 is available in Silver, Black, Pink and Blue. The phone does not have video recording. It can be enabled by doing something to the phone but I would not recommend it for less-experienced users. It maybe could be done at a private phone shop at a price. The V3i is an updated version of the V3, and is available in Silver and Burgundy. This model has video capture enabled without doing anything to the phone, and also has an improved camera (1.3 megapixels - good enough to print) and the memory can be expanded by adding a memory card (very cheap these days). The V3 phone is currently around £70. The V3i phone is currently around £90 - £120, depending on the network. 2) Additional memory on the V3 is acheived by deleting the content that comes on the phone, such as pre-loaded ringtones, pictures and videos etc. Hope this is of some help to you

V3 is crap. V3i I heard is not very reliable but I can't pass judgement as I never used one. V3X is the 3G version as far as I know.

hi removed,
many thanks for your response. downloaded the motorola software update application and I ran it, but it reported that the phone already has the latest software. Can the firmware be updated in someway to allow video recording? thanx |

I thought the Blue V3 had the video fearure on it already? That's how it's advertised on tesco mobie website.
But 6mb memory come on is it even worth having video with that?? |
