Zoe did well. The pros were given most air-time. Everyone should be happy.

Good idea to see celebs again as long as it's just a snippet. After all, that's what the show is all about.

Bless Tess 'Carthorse' Daly, but even after lessons with Anton she can barely manage a twirl with Brucie at the beginning. At least Zoe could manage to dance a few steps!

Swapping one telly blonde for another wouldn't really bother me, but she can't replace our Claud! The only person that would do for me if Claudia wants to leave SCD is Justin Lee Collins - he was amazing first series.

Although I'd rather have just watched the pros dance I think Zoe did a good job and it was interesting to see how she looked a year later. Zoe had a lot of fans and I'm sure they were all thrilled to see her perform... remember all those little girls who wanted to be like Zoe? If it had been one of my favourite celebrities performing I'd have been ecstatic! It's not like it replaced the pro dance entirely

She did ok but I thought it was unecessary and she was outclassed by the pros. When she went off the stage it was if the pro dancers were like ok so lets show you how u really dance the samba.

I thought that, and I liked Zoe last year! Pro-dance should be exactly that.

I honestly don't see what the problem is she looked great and she only danced a short time the pro's did loads.

I thought it was a nice touch

Anyone notice that there was really no time dedicated to the individual partnerships in the pro dance last night..... the only real camera time spent on one particular couple was Zoe & Ian..... what's that all about

me too ~ I enjoyed it. Might be nice to get some ex-contestants back for mini guest appearances

Was this another desperate bid to re-launch her failing career?

I also thought it was a nice idea - if nothing else it shows that Ian must have been a good dance teacher. Don't think it took anything away from the pros dance - which as ever was fab. Why oh why doesn't Karen Hardy come out of retirement and partner Brendan - that would be an awesome pairing.

I didn't really see the point in it, Zoe was on and off stage like a yoyo, having to leave all the difficult parts to the pro dancers.

She was OK, but dancing with pros is always going to show the novices up.

Here here!!!

As for Zoe being there - just seemed pointless, no clear reason for it, and whoever said it just made her looked desperate was right - not even as if she won her series!

I wholeheartedly agree with that. It's amazing the spark they have when they dance together even though they aren't strictly (no pun intended) dance patners.

I think they got the balance right and it was great to see her - it was lovely to be reminded of last year's Samba to "The Age of Aquarius". Then she cleared off and let the professionals do their stuff. Brilliant.

Ithough it was an appalling idea. The pro dance is one of the highlights for me - a few minutes to show how a dance SHOULD be done. It should be a PRO dance. I am not interested in seeing one of last years amateurs take time away from the pros, the only think it proved last night was just how good the pro dancers are in comparison.

They are amazing, I think they're probably among the top league of dancers on the show and they sure spark when they dance: I think (get the impression) that Karen has pretty much won everything she wanted to win and is happy teaching etc. Could be wrong though.

I thought that Zoe did really quite well, actually. Was nice to see her and Ian dancing together again, as well. And they did let the professionals do a bit on their own, anyway.

I think age-wise Karen is beyond coming out of retirement to compete successfully if you were thinking of competition. Most female dancers retire well before their mid thirties from serious competition, which is why Nicole Cutler has decided to no longer compete.

Loz, the trouble is,many of us want to see the pros do more than "a bit" of the dance.

It would be a lovely idea, but I doubt Karen would want to get into all that again now she has a young family. They certainly seem to dance well together - wonder if they would do exhibition stuff together?

I'd agree with that I think the top 3 couples on the show are:
The Cutlers: technically the best and mesmerising
Darren and Lilia: are great and full of energy
Brendan and Karen: just for the passion they seem to show for dancing.

She is also just a bit to old to still be competing... it's nice to dream though! and I agree with libby it would be great if we could see them do exhibition stuff together

We saw them do enough, and for one week it doesnt really matter,
Make this a regukar thing and Id have a problem with it, cos i love the pro dance.

Has anyone said why we had to endure a losing semi-finalist (not even a finalist, let alone winner) taking part in the pro dance ?
