Her comment to Brendan was out of line - I felt very embarrassed about it and I don't blame Brendan if he was furious. This year - instead of talking about the dancers and the dancing - it's all about the back biting comments and the favouritism. It has to stop or this programme will finish - I don't want that.

If it does end you won't come after the production team with a shovel will you???

I think Brendan did a very good job of staying calm tonight, I mean how close to the air time did the BBC decide his and Claire's routine had to be changed ? Was any of this taken into account, and has Bruno lost his razor ?

Hello!

Does the Tess v Brendan thing not go back to season 2 when Brendan and Sarah Manners fell out really badly and she cried before their Buffy the Vampire Slayer Paso-doble? Did she not take Sarah's side?

Brendan's normally a bit to "highly strung" for me but I can see is POV - I think hey played into the judge's hands tonight - just a thought.

I wondered that too - it's hard to know how much is Tess ad-libbing and how much is staged/stuff that's being fed to her through an earpiece.

Although whoever's idea it was I did think it was a bit tight putting him on the spot like that, though respect to Brendan, he dealt with it OK.

It didn't strike me that it was maliciously meant, but it wasn't right and was totally out of place.

Oh please, no! Even Natasha Kerplunski would be better than that.
That would be the final straw for me. I'm fast forwarding enough of the show already (especially Tess with her eyebrows and elbow nudges - not to mention her ill-mannered aside to Brendan tonight)...

I can't believe people are so annoyed about this! Brendan, has a go at judges last week, on it takes two has another go, specifically mentions the people he thinks were overmarked, ie Emma, seems to love to talk about it! So why not ask him about it? If he can spout about it all week on other shows, he should be able to take being asked his opinions on the topic he so loves to speak about, unfair judging. I think he's made himself look really childish this series.

There's no reason for Brendan not to be asked about it as you suggest but it should be done on ITT not by a supposedly "impartial" compere.

Compere's are only there to steer the show and to lend support to each and every individual not to stir things up.

Supposedly, yes, but I wonder if the producers decided that "stirring things up" would make for more controversial telly, which they seem to think we want

I suppose we'll never know but somehow I have the feeling that this was all Tess' work. I don't think she was led to do this. Possibly just her biases slipping out.

Personally I think she should be sacked. No matter what happens between the judges and the dancers, the compere's should remain impartial and be there for support.

Tess' remark was totally out of order and she should not be permitted to get away with it.

I noticed that Brendan disappeared again following her remark so I wonder if he really is full to bursting now??

Brendan and Claire deserve to be bottom this week but I think Tess was totally out of order.

I hope the researches are looking at this thread!! and claudia mentions it!! as it was totally out of order!!!

Tess was out of line - and on the first night she got to wear a nice dress!!!

They'll be ringing up Angela Rippon for the next series!

Brendan actually never said much about Emma or her point score. Tess was out of order. I don't think he ran off again but swapped places with Matt so that he was off camera and could thus avoid Tess turning round with some other remark. He was clearly upset by it. The situation had been dealt with and there was no need to make it such a big part of this weeks show. It detracted from the show.

He said on the acual show, on the results show last week when they show little clips of pros/celebs talking to the camera about the dance, he said that there had been rubbish foxtrots or something that had been overmarked, fair enough he didn't actually name who he meant but then on it takes two he criticised emmas mark as she had danced on the balls of her feet, and then he said she was obviously craigs favourite, so he did mention her quite a bit.

I found it very strange that the bbc can step in & ask for choreography changes. Especially since they didn't get involved in illegal-lift-gate!But then again i guess they knew that was a ratings winner

Is it just me or is Tess actually a crap presenter ANYWAY! This is just another example of it!

I'm NOT a fan of Bruce by any streach of the imagination - although I was impressed with how he handled the screw up of the Marc's dance

Tess is literally a conversation stopper when it comes to interviewing - I just think shes ONLY on there because she's stunning - her presenting abilities are NON exisitent!

Tess is past her sell by, she has been rubbish this series and most importantly, she cannot dance at all. her little twirl with Bruce is always off balance, you would think she could have at least learned a bit by now.
I thought Zoe was fabulous last night and she looked divine. I think she would make a great job of presenting the next SCD - if there is one.

Brendan only mentioned Emma as Craig's favourite on ITT when told by craig he was talking rubbish and prove it (Claudia started the favourite discussion not brendan) but qualified it by saying she is a fantastic dancer.
I think far too much has been made of the whole incident especially yesterday. It seems that the BBC used it in their ratings war with the X Factor.

Yeah I think if Bruno was there it would have been about Louisa and not Emma... But because it was Craig it was Emma...

Love him or hate him he doesn't deserve to have big gruges held against him all series...
i am so agreeing with you on this,Brendan has never been my favourite in all the seriess so far. until now. He is a fabulous dancer, has personality and charisma in spades and wants the best for DANCE. So let's give him some respect and let him get on with preparing for next week. It seems strance to me that he has nearly always been in the bottom two. Something not quite kosher here (I am jewish, so allowed to use the k word) in case of some politically correct posters.

Total crap this series - and has a big mouth now to boot. No one is asking for her comments, she is simply window dressing.

He only said what everyone else is thinking though and I thought that he was very brave to have done so. He knew it would probably cause some controversy but when we sit here week in week out watching Emma bag 8's for being techincally poor then he has got a point.

And before anyone accuses me of Emma bashing I'm not, I honestly think that there is bias on the judges part and it's blatantly obvious.

Tess on the other hand should have kept her bouche securely fermed!!!!! She had no right to stir it up or to make Brendan more of a scapegoat than he already was.
