Tess simply hijacked Brendan's opinion and it's very unfair and unprofessional. Having said that, to have her sacked is a bit too much, but a warning is necessary.
but i agree with another comment, tess cant bloody dance and the stupid bit at the beginning its old and tiresome!! put some bloody effort in! |

I don't want to start trouble, but having said Tess can's dance when she should have at least mastered some basic steps, how do we feel about Bruce? He is well past it too and his jokes????

That would be the final straw for me. I'm fast forwarding enough of the show already (especially Tess with her eyebrows and elbow nudges - not to mention her ill-mannered aside to Brendan tonight)... I didn't like what happened with Brendan last night, I thought it was rather petty to be honest and lowered the tone of the episode - it was cringe worthy tv. |

I don't think Brendan ever mentioned Emma's mark, he did say to Craig that Emma was Craig's favourite, a fact that Craig agreed with. There was an implication there that he thought Emma was overmarked but it was never said.
I do think that his intention was always to be positive on behalf of his partner and the other celebs that seemed to be being marked down for no good reason, rather than negative against those he saw as being marked up unfairly. The BBC has twisted it to cause controversy, and possibly used Tess as their mouthpiece in this. Whether it was her idea or the BBC's for her to attack Brendan, she shouldn't have gotten involved. |

Further to Tess, Did anyone else notice that Claire was throwing her some hard looks? or was it me? (sorry I did put this on another thread before noticing this main one)

I think Claire's face was the reaction to Tess comment. Can't say I'm surprised. |

I don't think it was particularly the right thing for Tess to do, but I have to say I was very impressed with the way Brendan handled it.
Very gracious. |

So was I - he went up in my estimation with how he handled a rather excessive amount of unnecessary needling one way and another last night.

i just rewatched the show and tess's comments really were completely unnecessary. you could see that the second she singled out brendan his whole body tensed and he was claerly really uncomfortable with having to answer that question.

I have a lot of time for Brendan - he was easily the sanest on Love Island. I couldn't stand him before this year but have discovered his not so hidden talents

Very gracious. He kept his mouth shut last night in the face on provocation - I'm not sure Tess wasn't part fed that line though she knew exactly where to look for Brendan in a crowded space . |

It doesn't take very much to wind Mr Cole up and I am delighted at anyone who brings him down a peg two and Len is the man to it. Brendon Cole is probably the best pro male dancer, but he is not bigger then the competition, and should just get on with his dancing and guiding Claire to do her best.

Can you see why it doesn't take much to wind him up, because the BBC do not know when to stop pushing him. BrendAn I believe is trying to guide Claire to do her best, but how can he when he does what the judges ask and still get scored badly?!

![]() Well I suppose if someone is pushed far enough they will retaliate and I think the shennanigans of the judges this series has pushed the celebs. It just so happens that Brendan is the one who would take it on board. Tit for Tat really so I dont' think the blame can be laid solely at his doorstep.
