Personally, but don't attack me, I do not understand what the problem is with Emma doing the CIN single. She has made it as fair as possible by including all the other celebs.
I just can't wait until all the critics of Emma on this forum become aware that her album is being released on the 4th December. Oops. |

"She's" included no one. The BBC will have commisioned and recorded the video, and decided what you'll see of who, she only had to turn up and sing. No need to buy her CD, the video will be on "Youtube" later the same night as CIN. Oops! |

I don't see the issue myself! She's a singer and also involved in another program (ie scd) which is also for CIN....she has a beautiful voice and wouldn't just be doing it for promoting herself! Emma and Darren critics are SO annoying me!

They obviously don't care the effect that it will have on the competion or the chances of the other competitors. I also don't think she's that brilliant (just an opinion) and will get all the help and assistance to stay in the competition from the BBC they can give, until at least after CIN on 17th November I first expressed my views on an Emma Bunton thread. "All hell was let loose" and I got a lot of catty comments, as I hadn't realised it was a; "We love Emma Bunton thread." So I posted something else on a diffferent one. Then some smart assed comments to me on that new thread someone had started were made by someone who'd followed me over from the original thread. So tonight I posted my opinions on yet another thread, the necessity for which you were querying. Now "Emma fans" can't have it both ways. If they don't like my comments on this third thread then tough, I've done as much "accomodating" as I'm prepared to do. Quote:

The whole performance from the night will no doubt appear after someone has recorded it on the CIN night. Don't play the "charity card" I'm not impressed. Ms Bunton will do very well out of the situation in ancillary benefits. Why not let others have a different opinion and just post on the "I love Emma threads?" You have that choice. Just a suggestion, mind. |

I thought Emma was brilliant tonight and deserved the marks she's got.
As an Emma fan I did think last week she was overmarked by one or two. All I'd say at this point is that she's got the talent she just needs to spice the dances up. |

I'm confused? (and very hesitant to post!)
I've come on this thread to say how much I enjoyed Emma and Darren's dancing tonight! It's as simple as that, I don't want anyone telling me I shouldn't of liked it, I want them to accepct that I liked it! At the same time, I accept that others didn't like it!! |

Yay, just what we need, another "let's all bash Emma because she's obviously 'favoured' by the judges thread!" Seriously, it's getting old... get over it, they're good.

By the way, I liked Darren and Emma tonight (but also loved Ray and Camilla, Carol and Matthew and adored Mark and Karen! I was also gutted to see Jan and Anton go ... )

I know, Cally's mum, it gives off a very, very bad vibe to new members, if they come and see people making new threads for bashing purposes, and then us lot just trying to defend them the best we can, even though we have now become seriously out-numbered!
I only enter such threads to defend the couples, I never join in the bashing, I simply state my opinion... |

Doesn't that tell you something then Elizabeth? Are we all so wrong in not sharing you sycophantic view of Emma....SCD is supposed to be celebrities 'learning' to dance...she trained at the Sylvia Young school and had an unfair disadvantage from the start...........I cant beleive anybody believes she is doing this for charity

As for the 'advantage' (she can't have an unfair 'disadvantage' !!) she allegedly has - give it a rest. Louisa trained at the same school (and within the last few years). Emma trained there - what - 10-15 years ago??? You can forget a lot in that time! Not to mention the fact that she did not train in the samba, the foxtrot, the jive, the waltz etc etc et. What they undoubtedly trained in was movement and modern dance!!! How the hell is that going to help in ballroom? Anyone with natural rythm will have an advantage (like Mark or Ray - both of whom possess it in spades). You might just as well say that Claire has an unfair advantage because she rides and that means she's limber!!! It's all nonsense. All this slating (of Emma or any of the celebrities or pros) is very unhealthy and very off-putting. It engenders bad feeling regardless of all the excuses those who are indulging in the nastiness make abolut it being their right. Of course it's everyone's right to criticise performances - but there's a way of doing it that isn't unpleasant and downright nasty. Unfortunately it seems to be endemic on these boards (and not just on the SCD boards either). It's a sad reflection on those who indulge in it and it could deter others who might want to join in for the first time from doing so because they don't want to become embroiled in something like this. |

Im starting to find all this 'biased judges' stuff ridiculous! The judge who is supposedly biased towards Emma marked her lower than Arlene and Bruno did!
It was 8,9,8,9 which means the judges were mostly in agreement -it was an 8/9 dance. Her extension was the best of the night! I liked Ray and Camillas waltz but his fleckrls were a bit more stilted than Emma and Darrens - I would have thought they would have got an 8 and 3 nines actually. Anyone else think that Len was uneccessarily rude to Darren Bennett? Darren only seemed to be having a laugh with him -it was supposed to be lighthearted! And then he is called a silly, little , sheffield..............What was that all about Len? |

Yes I think Len should apologise for that.
I think everyone is just slating Emma for no particular reason they are just trying to find excuses and to be honest its getting boring because its the same untrue, unnecessary judgements of her. They all have an advantage in one way or another what ever they do. But Emma did not do Ballroom ad Latin which is totally different so give up with the boring criticism. |

Emma has been to stage school but she certainly didnt learn ballroom or latin and to say she has an advantage is ridiculous, Louisa has also been to stage school and I dont see her getting the slating that Emma is getting. Learning ballroom and latin is not easy (I am trying to learn at the moment) and I think Emma is doing fantastically well and she could do with some support not all the bitching If you dont like Darren and Emma why come into posts dedicated to them?? |
