Did anybody notice Louisa was having trouble with her mick too. A couple of times she had to slip it back down her dress.

I agree she was talking about Matt Dawson but I think it was quite a time before Matt Cutler worked that out. He looked a little peeved still when Tessa mentioned the comment - I know it was addressed to Carol, but I'm not totally convinced Matt was 100% sure even then.

Nothing wrong with the song - it had the right rythmn althoguh a little slow. It could have been wonderful if they'd maintained eye contact and done lots of close hold moves and turns, as Salsa is supposed to be.

Arlene was right when she said that Vincent should have given more - he hardly acknowledged her.

Some beautiful lines and the amount of trust that girl had in Vincent is not to be underestimated.

Not the best of the night, but not the worst either.

I thoroughly enjoyed their dance, and thought the Judges were overly harsh. Louisa danced incredibly well, and should've been given more praise IMO, inspite of the fact they didn't like the routine and thought it not strictly a Salsa.

louisa was i think upset that craig thought she should have given it more and not with her score if you are given soft music to dance with you need to move with the flow of the music this is what louisa and vincent did tonight not all salsas are upbeat some are slow and sexy i think they were great

Agreed, I thought it was very well performed and I was thoroughly entertained. I could see this was a slow and sexy number instead of the fire of say, Karen and Mark, who I also loved. I was disappointed that the judges didn't seem to get the same idea out of it.

Well done Louisa and Vincent, I say.

I thought they were really good;I enjoyed the dance very much and as for energy- what were they on about?

I think Louisa does very well indeed& they are a good pair. But those whom the judges build up - they then have to destroy for their own daft reasons.

Sympathy to Louisa- she is very young .the judges are old enough to be her grandparents. I can't imagine they could dance like that at 17!
It has been a pleasure to see her do so well.

Dancing with someone so young, and who looks younger than her actual age must be difficult for Vincent, because anything that's supposed to be sexy is in danger of looking pervy.
I thought last night's routine stayed the right side of pervy thank god! Pity she's such a stroppy little miss, though!

I agree. IMO Vincent is getting the balance right between sexy partner and protective older brother - quite a tightrope act. I am beginning to wonder if, because of all the VT that has been shown of him being the archetypal 'super-charming Italian', that the judges are getting a bit of a downer on Vincent? I have noticed a bit of subtle sniping (more from tongue-in-cheek editing of footage) along the lines that he loves himself a bit too much. Quite justified in my opinion *raises one eyebrow* Seriously, I love Vincent and think he is a wonderful dancer. I think Louisa is peeved that she appears to be being being cut some slack for being young, but she is also behaving exactly as any teenager would when criticised. In addition, I thought Arlene's comments to Vincent were unjustified and am looking forward to ITT this week in case he gives his opinion.

What did Arlene say about Vincent??? I didn't get to see the judges comments my friend only taped the dances themselves...

As a dancer myself I thought Louisa and Vincent were undermarked tonight. It wasn't perfect and there were definitely things that could have been better but it was technically very hard (and she danced it very well). They made the mistake of making the salsa sassy rather than sexy and were criticised for it. It was a perfectly valid interpretation of the dance but obviously the judges wanted firey salsas instead.
Arlene criticising Vincent's dancing was just ridiculous - of course he could dance that routine with more fire and energy and whateverelse she wanted but with a pro partner. Isn't the job of the pro to set the celebrity off to their best, if he'd thrown her around the floor and put all his dancing strength into it she quite probably wouldn't have been able to match him and would have looked far less good. Maybe I'm just missing the point but I didn't think the pro's were there to be judged on their dancing - choreography yes but the fact they're their and their lists of titles proves their dancing ability surely. Maybe I'm wrong

I fear Louisa nd Vincent peeked to soon, they have not impressed me much the last two weeks and Bruno's continued adoration is going to look even worse if it carries on, both from him and from them if they don't get back on track.

I liked their routine too - it wasn't perfect (and the pairing isn't working as well as some of the others), but I was impressed with the difficulty of it.

I agree they are beginning to look like they peaked too early but I lay the blame for that at the feet of the judges. They were overmarked at the beginning (in my eyes as a dancer) and now they appear to be doing less well because their marks are lower but in fact I think its just the judges are marking them more accurately.

In my eyes the reason their partnership isn't so strong is because of Louisa's age. As all the other celebs are older and mainly married or in relationships they seem able to spark off their pro a lot more where as Vincent has to appear to be 'proper' towards her as she is still quite young and she's still at the little girly stage of being a bit bashful and silly at the attention of an attractive man. I think they are doing well and coming across well but just need a little more fire and they'll be fabulous.

They're not offending anyone though, staying quiet and working hard without attracting too much attention to yourself isn't always a bad plan!

I just found them really bland.

she is quite sullen too, and she just CANNOT carry off the whole sexy thing! It is uncomfortable to watch.

She's sort of cute, but too kiddish looking to be a sex siren.

I completely agree she's not carrying off the sexy thing well! Its not comfortable to watch and if I were her I'd get myself to some open circuit dance comps and watch some junior and youth dancers competing! They manage to combine fire in their dancing without always overplaying the sexy siren side of things - it would make much more comfortable viewing!

Thing is, when I watched dancing I don't want to be going "oooh that looks hard" - not till after anyway when I think about it more - I want to be swept away by the dance. The difficulty should serve to make the routine look good, not to make it look hard IMO. If you see what I mean?

Everyone's different, but I wasn't swept away by Louisa (for a comparison, I was totally caught up when I saw her Jive) - I was waiting for the dance to finish.

Well I'm no particular fan of hers, and I'm a strong advocate of everyone's right to be as critical as they like about those they don't favour, but is "hate" really appropriate? You couldn't come up with anything more constructive than that?

Problem is not Louisa its Vincent I think he is one of the weaker pros.

He is good at his speciality but is a bit of a "one trick pony"

I agree on that front; she just looks too young to be convincing at all the 'sexy stuff' - it doesn't seem right somehow!

On saying that, they had an OK performance. Not outstanding and the moves were quite complex, but it lacked anything extra.

I thought it was a great performance and Louisa pulled it of great. If Vincent had been any more sexier he would have come of looking like a perv. so to me it was just right.
Carry on the good work Vincent and Louisa.

I also really enjoyed it. I can understand the judges comments and thought they had some valid points, but never-the-less I really enjoyed the whole performance – the music, the dancing etc. (I am commenting from a no knowledge background, never having done ballroom dancing)

I also agree that she seems to be getting irritated by the “she’s only 17” comments, as she specifically mentioned it in the VT before the dance.

But all this is what makes the show so good – opinions are so different and we’re all looking for something different. I enjoyed watching most couples, although I must admit Mark/Karen are probably my faves, just ahead of Ray/Camilla, Matt/Carol and Vincent/Louisa, in no particular order (I know I’m picking lots, but I just can’t decide!) I also have a massive soft spot for Peter and Erin (yes I really am sitting on the fence!)

EDIT: I forgot to add I also like Darren/Emma - I didn't realise how much I am enjoying the series until I wrote this post!

First post, so be gentle with me!

Does anyone think that Vincent should have made the dance a little less technical for Louisa? I really enjoyed it, but perhaps Louisa was having to concentrate too much to really enjoy it?
