I think that's a more than fair comment. As a dancer I can say that the routine was highly technical even for someone who has quite a bit of experience. I'm sure it caused Louisa to have to concentrate hard and probably did prevent her letting go a bit more.

I'd say its tough for the pros in that respect - make it too easy and they're criticised for not using their celeb to their full potential but too hard and the celeb struggles to create a performance. Quite a tough balance in my eyes.

Vincent teaches me and I know for a fact he likes to make choreography has tough as possible. He likes to be known for having 'different choreography' and that makes me think he probably did make it just a little too hard for her

Yeah sometimes the professionals just can't win with their choregraphy... But it was a bit to technical for Louisa to learn in a week... I think he just wants the best out of her and he forgets that she ain't used to this kinda thing...

I think calling Vincent a one trick pony is a bit harsh... I think he has done really well with his dances and have only been disappointed by his foxtrot and Salsa... But when he dances with Flavia in the professional dances he always looks amazing... I think its just his obvious passion for Louisa to be more then maybe she is...

Don't forget teaching someone something they have no idea about in a week is hard... Louisa's age will probably put him off doing a more sexy dance because it will look pervy to us... I think he backed off in that sense but it seems its what the judges want...

To me though it seemed neither one thing nor the other, it wasn't a sexy sensuous salsa but it wasn't a zippy, fun, saucy salsa either. Surely he could have gone for the latter option?

I thought it was a good choice of song but I felt that it could've been upped slightly tempo wise and worked better... it was a bit lethargic.

I'm amazed that anyone should level the 'one-trick pony' criticism at Vincent - I think all the dancers are really versatile though of course they all have their strengths and weaknesses (for example, I always feel Anton looks slightly silly/uncomfortable doing Latin). I'm interested to know which 'trick' DerChef thinks is Vincent's? I'm not one of the cognoscienti, however, so maybe I am just missing something and Vincent is in fact rubbish at everything except the Argentine Tango.

By the way, can anyone tell me what the tune was that L & V did their jive to?

Calling Vincent a one-trick pony couldn't really be further from the truth...he specialises and is a champion Ten Dancer..not to mention Argentine Tango world champion...so technically he specialises in more dancers than the rest of the pros, who specialise in Latin OR Ballroom.

With you all the way !!!!!!!!!!!

I really like these two and the steps were good. Craig was right it did lack fire ( perhaps a comparison to their really good jive) and this week they are apparently upping the tempo so hopefully it should be very good. I think they both looked sexy and did it OK, but it's difficult when Arlene expects to see them rubbing up and down each other like dogs on heat !!!!! I think they compared favourably to Matt and Carol who also did a good routine who also did sexy without a body massage..............
