There's something about Tess that makes me uncomfortable. She seems the sort of person that's all nice and smiley to the cameras but as soon as the cameras stop rolling she's a different person. Is it jsut me or do you guys think this as well.

I have made mention of this on a previous posting - we were at SCD the first week and Tess is SOOOOOOOO false. When the cameras are on her she is Miss Nicey Nicey but as soon as the cameras weren't on her she was v different, whereas Brucie talked to us "mere mortals" Tess played the prima donna role to perfection

Doesnt Tess just remind you of Hinge from hinge and bracket? She makes every dress look so ungainly! I cannot bear the girl - she is 4 or 5 series in and still as wooden as a wooden thing. Angers me that they have to have her as the live host just because there aren't v many female presenters who can do live. Thank god for bruce.
please don't insult Hinge as she looked a lot better in her lampshades than Tess. I thought Tess looked like a satin toilet roll on Saturday, with a droopy front and rippling effect. Not her fault as she didn't design the thing, but she wore it like the curtains on the stage of the Hippodrome.
If she is window dressing (well what else is she?) then she should keep her big mouth shut and not make comments to the pros, or anyone in fact.the end when her and Bruce urge us to keep duncing is just so excrutiatingly cringeworthy I was nearly sick.

Tess is great and way better then the rubbish Bruce comes out with. All he worries about is getting a laugh.

OK she doesnt have a right to ask Brendan if another dancers mark is OK with him, in a very sarcastic way. She is more like a ventriloquist's dummy than a presenter.
I can't stand her fake accent and that damn nudge nudge wink wink act she's always pulling. Bet she earns a fortune too. How do these people get jobs? There must be hundreds of out of work actresses that could do this sort of thing standing on their heads why the hell do we have to put up with her? 
What really ticks me off is her salary reported to be 250,000
for the series, while the pros doing all the work only get
17 grand.
Not to sound snotty but her accent really,really grates on me as well.

I agree 100%! She's so self-conscious, she brings nothing to the show. And her weekly attempt at dancing with Bruce is an embarrassment!
TBH I was never on Tess!... She's just so wooden, so hugely inappropriate with comments, can't even manage the few steps she's required to do with Bruce (and I really, really don't like him, but fair's fair - when he had to provide spontaneous filler on Saturday he did so brilliantly), can't stumble her way through a 'the judge's scores are in' link....and made the most awful gaffe in asking Brendan what he thought of Emma's score. She's just AWFUL!

That's just ridiculous!!!!! She always comes across on TV to me as very false so that doesn't surprise me to read Tango Trish's report that she is that way irl!

Agree Claudia would be fantastic on Strictly Come Dancing. Tess gets on my nerves too. Her dresses this series are awful (not her fault I know) and her comments to Brendan and her ATTITUDE were very insulting and have put me off her permanently.
Tess is totally thick. She cetainly doesn't deserve 250,000K for the series. Last year I was at the ITT studio in the last week of the competition and Tess came in to do some voice overs for the last Friday night ITT before the final and she was just hopeless, couldnt read the cards and couldnt get it right. I love Claudia, she has a lovely manner, never talks down to people amd always looks nice.

No. I love Claudia but she should stay on ITT. She's too random and crazy for the live Saturday show. Kaplinsky was okay...she just got on and did it...that's what they need, a presenter who'll do the links and laugh at Bruce's jokes and not show any bias.
Tess is terrible. She also seems too dizzy and some celebs get over sold in terms of needing phone voting and others are just forgotton. I don't think it is favouritism, she just hasn't a clue.

Know, in a crisis, the show will come out smelling of roses.

Yes, I have made that point before. You would think on a dancing show the presenter would have at least learned a few basic steps. I always think she is going to lose her balance as she twirls? and raises ler leg as she meets Bruce at the bottom of the staircase. She is so ungainly.
I think she's rude to the cooples and cuts off those she doesnt like so much with 'the joodges scores are in'.
Also the end bit with the 'Keep Duncing' is too gruesome as she hangs on to Bruce for dear life.
