Dear BBC - are you listening/reading
I have been the most loyal SCD fan since the very first show of series one. I am disheartened by the way there is (in this series and this one alone) soooo much nastiness, blatant favouritism, and bitching.
For heavens sake remember what the show is all about - it is for CIN - a very worthwhile charity. The behaviour of "The Judges" towards some of the contestants is basically making the programme a cheap shot at upsetting people and if thats what floats your boat on a Saturday Night ITV have the slot for you its called the X Factor. Please please somebody get a grip on things at the BBC before egos spoil what always has been and should still be a really good family entertainment show. Maybe there are too many "well known" celebs this time who knows - but whatever it is, it isn't working anywhere nearly as well as the other three series. Okay okay rant over - but please someone at the BBC listen to me. |

Listen, I understand and have read a hundred posts like this lately, due to people knowing that the BBC read these forums. You are entitled to your view.
But I am a little bit fed up of the...'BBC read these posts' thread's, and that the majority of us feel the same, i.e...we all agreed with Brendan (no), we all not hate Karen for no reason (no), etc, etc.... This is not a dig at you OP, but maybe (sorry) a dig at yet another thread saying 'BBC please read!' So can I just say in retrospect, please... I bloody love SCD. It makes my Saturday night. I have watched it from show one and series one and yes it has evolved, everything does, but I still love it! It makes me come home early on a Saturday night. Okay, it is not perfect, but is brilliant entertainment. The guys are all doing it for charity, the judges only get half the vote so it is not a catastrophe, and it would not be SCD without those judges (Brendan has a lot to answer for. Don't change it, in the words of Barry White, SCD, I love you 'just the way you are.' Just my opinion.

It's getting a bit silly. |

No I do not work for the BBC.
And I said the show has evolved. I just get a little fed up of the 'BBC please read me' threads...and I did say sorry and it was not just against you, there have been alot of them lately. I used to lurk when this forum first got mentioned and people were so happy to just get their name on air. But, this is a small minority of people who watch, and it's odd, and not being pedantic, (or whatever the word is ) but I don't know anyone who hates SCD or wants it to change outside of this forum.Apologies if you thought I was out of order, but as you said, I am entitled to my view, and I love the show, and things evolve, and I would hate it to end/change as I think the majority of us would. I agree with both of you, i love scd and wouldn't change it for the world, but then again i am sick of the constant fights, but i thought that wasn't too bad this week, the judges seemed more together and the remarks were less personal and good constructive criticsms. This is why scd shouldn't change because while it has evolved, i'm sure things will settle down again and then get worse again, its the nature of the show.

Agree with a lot of what you say Tango.....unfortunately controversy attracts viewers, those in the media know the game by now, but as far as the judges so obviously having their favorates-I think its backfiring on Emma - nobody likes a 'teachers pet' - and Arlenes hormonal outbursts at Mark actually otherwise put me off of voting. I love SCD, I'm sad to say my Saturday nights revolve round it at the mo, but I find the bitching really off putting-especially the early show-what on earth sort of example is that to young children watching?

Call me odd, but I go by my own mind and who I like, not if the judges like them or not!
If they dance well, they get my vote, if they don't, I won't vote.I guess I am missing something as compared to the x-factor it is pretty tame! I am sounding a bit arsey I know..but bad day and all. But I still say the majority of the GBP make their own minds up regardless of judges comments. |
