Seems to me that some of the judges, if not all, have a problem with Brendan's popularity, and that he should dare to appear on a rival channel, in a second rate tv series, but come out of it well, and with new supporters.
I did not see the programme on BBC2 this morning, but if CRH mentioned Love Island, and we all know about Arlene's bitter reference to it last week, it all seems like sour grapes to me.
Brendan is passionate about his dancing, in fact anything that he does, and as a result, he likes things to be right. Any sign of deviation from that, he will speak out, and rightly so. If another professional had said the things that Brendan said, it would all have been received very differently, but most have no backbone, and it suits some people to continuously mention "Bad Boy Brendan", when in fact the core of what he was saying is true. Most people can see that as time has gone on.
I have met the man, and even though I do not claim to know him, I can only speak as I find. He is an absolute gent, and is nothing like the media would have you believe. The judges have 'issues' with him, and how they see their role, and quite frankly, the BBC should sort out all of the judges, not just one or two.
I also believe that Brendan has outgrown the show. Much as I love to see him on tv, I think he cannot possibly be enjoying the experience anymore, so why put himself through it. Some people on there, perhaps have less choices available, CRH included (no matter what they claim to the media), but Brendan needs to move on, and leave them all to get on with it. I feel the same about Anton - I think he too, is looking less than happy with his SCD experiences of late.
