In fact, I'd love to learn how to dance (especially the quickstep, cha cha and jive)...but I don't have the courage to go to a dance class.

Go go go! Or get a private lesson first to give you some confidence. Us dance teachers don't bite and we're used to people being nervous!

So to get me off that subject and others...how gorgeous do the girls and guys look every week on SCD?

I love them! Carole and Lillia and Camilla were beautiful this week (all the females were, but they stood out) and Mark and Ray.....come to Mamma!

I have put a stone on over the summer (or more) and they are so inspiring me to tone up, lose weight and do a

samba/quickstep/cha cha cha.

HUN is this a collective stone or 1 stone each??

So I am making it my goal to have lost a stone by the final...and be (nearly, but not quite) as gorgeous as those guys and gals.

Anyone else with me?

We have 6 or so weeks to lose a stone!

HUN is this a collective stone or 1 stone each??

That's a good idea - I might do that. The humiliation wouldn't be so bad with only 1 person there

Thanks Fiona, you know what made me do it? I was sticking up for Fern Brittain on this very site. A "flamer" had been saying very cruel things about her size & that she should not be allowed on telly. Of course he/she then layed into me, (I mentioned I was big too).
I was so upset & did not come on the site for ages but I blow a big raspberry at that person . Cos I am now a size 12/14 - & a nice person too, (unlike them).
PS. & I'll be a good dancer in a year, (I'm hoping I'll look like Jill ).

The North-East I wouldn't frighten you all? hehe

Also here is a list of schools registered with the IDTA. Not all teachers/schools are listed so if there aren't any in your area give the main office a call and they'll give you contact details for teachers in your area.

That is b****** brilliant. It has taken me 5 months to lose 2 stone (yes it is a stone each Ian's fan! ))

I totally understand what spurred you on and could say more about the situation and why I identify with it, but won't tonight! I may get myself in trouble!

Well done.

*claps*

I weigh in every Sunday when I go for my early morning swin - I know, I'm crazy, but just thinking about Marks salsa and paso had me thrashing through the water like a mad thing! Anyway, I lost another 2 this morning!

I think SCD is helping me lose weight, because I am on here instead of eating rubbish!

I know - but I don't feel comfortable - but I am swimming three times a week, so hopefully I will get toned enough soon!
