Will we be flying over the atlantic at the same time? I am heading to Chicago on 9th December.

And good luck for shifting those pounds!

So have I understood Saturday Night is out WEIGH IN DAY?? Off to go on an hours walk by the Rhein and then to a point counted lunch!! Long live veggie soup. It is just great for filling you up when it is cold outside.

Veggie Oxo (or something similar)
Onions
Carrots
Tomatoes (tinned)
a couple of tablespoons of peas
(whatever you have in your veggie cupboard except potatoes)
Use an electric blender for HALF the portion of soup to thicken it up without using flour or potatoes or cream - works a treat)

Enjoy and it tastes great.

Hi Everyone. Have crept on to the forum again in my lunch break (salad again!). Tried the Salsacise DVD this morning and really enjoyed it. Like Coody Mow, I was crap at it to start with but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon if I do it every day. And my knee is fine as it's not high impact aerobics and there is a slightly less energetic version you can follow as well. Have lost one and a half stone so far this year - very slowly - but still have 5 stone to go, so any encouragement will help.

Better get on with some work now before someone asks what I'm doing

Well done. First time I just jumped about as I can't follow routines but by the third time I had nearly got it and now i'm a pro. Since I started doing it once a day my weight loss has sped up as i had got to a bit of a stop after 5 months. This thread is helping.

Its a fun dvd as well. Good luck.

Just seen this

http://www.virginmegastores.co.uk/invt/727501

who'da thunk it? you too can dance and have a washboard stomach just like Lilia!! And all for 17.99!! ( i think it's cheaper on Amazon)
downside it comes out on the 26th of December.

I would consider buying it but i've got too many workout vids as it is, at the moment the only thing they're good for is gathering dust

Evening all.I trust I find you all well and bouncy! My salsacise dvd arrived today.Am saving the treat of trying it till sat .Have to move my sitting room round to make room first!

Dancing girl, will try your recipe this weekend.Made my own version last sun and hated it so hope i'll love yours!

Force ten,I watched a programme 3 months ago which said carbs slow the metabolism down.I have given up bread, pasta, rice, and pots.We do need some carbs in diet which veg seem to provide.I have lost more in 2.5 months than i've lost over 6 months on past diets.I also looked on internet for foods that speed up metabolism and try to include them in my daily diet too.I would say give it a try for a week and see if it works for you.I have walnuts and pumkin seeds mid-morn(just a handful) and fruit mid-afternoon as prog said it keeps your metabolism up.nuts seem to have removed my desire for crisps which were my weakness.I have yogurt and fruit for breakfast, salad or soup for lunch, and meat or fish and veg for dinner.

Saturday seems to be coming around fast this week....lol

I'm doing the Rosemary Conley GI (low fat) diet Saggy. It cost £40 to do it postal, as no classes near me, but for that I got (and this isn't all of it) a pedometer, toning band, the DVD, a diet diary, GI diet book, two great cookbooks, voucher for a class for free, a bag, a diet sheet, and alot more which I can't remember off hand.

You can eat what you like as long as it is 5% or less fat, drink, and everything...as long as it is withinh your calorie allowance (which I go over alot but make up for with exercise).

And you just ring up, tell them your age, height and weight and they send you a plan, how many calories etc, and each time you lose a stone, you send your record off and they send you back a certificate and my last one was personally signed by Rosemary. Which was good.

Well worth the £40....believe me..and I have tried everything to lose weight!

Coody mow it sounds like a great deal at £40.Nice Rosemary gets personally involved. It must help keep your motivation up.Not too sure where i look to buy her toning band as i think i need it for the dvd.
I 've tried weight watchers a few times and it certainly worked as i'd usually have a goal such as a holiday or something to work towards, but this time i know i have to keep going and then maintain so i do get the max time i can before my knee dies completely.I hope i can stick to the diet long enough to see if i can maintain!!lol

Is the toning band a resistance band? You can get those in argos I believe, unless you have to have the special RC one or if it's something completely different!

I haven't used the band with the DVD yet as you don't need it with the first two levels and I have got no further and am happy with that anyway.

Yes, it is a resistance band. (just a purple stretchy piece of rubber) I got all this from her mag in the newspapers shop and the band is £5.99 if you call the number in it, but I got it with the set anyway. But today was the first day I used it as her new mag has a load of toning exercisies using it....they wore me out!

It is good value...but I don't work for her..I promise! Just it has really helped me.

Thanks both of you.oooh ahhh it looks lethal.I'm a bit worried I'd tie myself up in one wrong snap of the band!lolI will wait till i've tried the dvd before i go get one then as it may well take me a long time to get to the bit on dvd that needs it but thank you both for your help.

Force Ten,meant to say thanks for telling me that your knee didn't suffer with the salsacise.Glad to know it won't bring on the dreaded ache. I have a side stepper as it was advertised as low impact on knees and so long as I don't overdo it my knee doesn't ache.It seems to be making fat move off the bottom half of body. One friend said I'd lost a bum!
