What is FE?...Good luck with the HER hunt anyway nd the course!
I myself am really lacking energy this morning as have not had enough sleep since I stayed up 'till after 11pm!Must learn I can't do it...

OK,day 5 here I come...I have lost half of what I put back on so far so that is incentive enough I hope!Have a great day everyone.

I did walk to the station and really enjoyed the walk, lovely sunny morning. Also bought a very cheap pair of shorts for exercising in, at what I look like in them but no one else will see so I don't care

Good for you Tamm,we had torrential rain this morning,I refused to get out of car on the school run and made boys go in alone as I watched them run in from the dry interior of the car.I think we may need photos of said shorts...LOL.

I have not managed day 5 record sadly.Got so angry at work and fumed and simmered with rage all day and gave in to eating what I shouldn't.Mind you I did eat a lot of Ryvita along with other things I shouldn't so at least some of it was healthy!
I have discovered that not only do I eat when stressed or bored but also angry, and have no idea how to let go of the anger without eating!Never realised I did it before today so quite a eye opener.LOL.

Start the HER again in morning...

Interesting what you say Saggy about anger etc. I am finding out so much about myslef too through this process. I had no idea that my emotions were so linked to food. I also realised today that how I perceive my body is not entirely accurate. Was with 2 friends Primark and always thought one in particular to be much slimmer than me, in practice we all bought the same size

How fab is that Tamm!It must give you such a buzz and will keep you going on your HER nicely.
I was shocked too when I shopped in there to find I fit the 12/14's.I think it must take a while to rework what we see oursleves like.It has made me realise how anorexics see non existant weight on themselves as I never admitted to myself how big I was.I now see the fat that is left and think it's awful but everyone says to me I look good now, but I can't say to them that I never saw myself how I was.LOL.

I've been doing so well recently, but I'm looking at an empty M&S Mini Bites tub. Just don't know why I do it Maybe I can blame the earthquake this morning - woke OH out of his sleep and shook the house.

Took the recycling out this morning 4 empty wine bottles That means I am drinking more than the recommended limit Therefore my aim for May is to half that which will be very good for my health

So please keep reminding me of this, help might be necessary for this goal

According to WW I lost 2.5 pounds this week, whereas according to my own scales I didn't lose anything, so I'm confused. I even tried a friend's scales and they show the same as mine. Normally my scales are one pound lighter than the WW scales, so I think they must have set them up wrongly as mine were showing 2.5 heavier than the WW scales when I got home and that was wearing exactly the same clothes and without anything to eat or drink and only about a hour between the two weigh ins.

I suppose I'll find out next Saturday when I go for another weigh in. Strange....

Not doing very well on getting to my target before the wedding I'm going to and I'm out for dinner two nights this week.

Have a good week everyone

I always weigh myself first thing in the morning, naked , after being to the bathroom. They always tell you to do that as your weight can fluctuate the rest of the day by up to half a stone. So try that.

Well done even if you haven't lost what WW says as as long as you put none on you are going in the right direction.

Stepping up my exercise this week. Now I have reached the magic 3 stone mark I want to keep going and a bit quicker!

Me too, that's how I knew I hadn't actually lost any last week. I weigh myself every morning so I know whether I've lost or not. And I weighed myself with clothes on just before I left the house and again when I got back and they were the same weight, so I really think the WW scales had been adjusted wrongly. Ah well, we shall see next week.

Your body weight can fluctuate greatly on a day-to-day basis. Daily fluctuations can range anywhere from two to five pounds or more just based on water weight. You will see a statistically significant difference every seven days, so you should weigh yourself once a week. Once a day can be quite discouraging!
Force Ten
30-04-2007
The only problem with that is that if I only weighed myself once a week - or waited until I got to WW to be weighed - I'd be at least half a stone heavier as I'd think it wouldn't matter and I could always diet later in the week. I don't have the sort of mindset that can manage not to know what I weigh at every minute. I've always been like that - but then, I'm the person that always reads the end of the book first so I know who dunnit!

I thought I was the only one that reads the ending of mystery novels before I read the rest! Haven't been able to get through an agatha christie novel without finding out how it ends first. I think that's why I used to love watching columbo as well...you always know who did it in the first 10 mins!
Just don't get too down if the scales don't reflect your progress. Whatever you're doing is certainly working for you.

Slowly, very slowly and I'm a very impatient person but I have to learn that slow and steady is the way to do it as every time before when I've lost weight quickly, it's gone back on again just as quickly! This time I'm determined to lose it and keep it off for ever
Coody Mow
30-04-2007
That is what I have done FT...I am impatient too...but the fact I have lost 3 stone over a year and have not put much on in that time, (and have not been very good believe me!) tells me that slow and steady is better.

We'll get there FT..you and me...we'll be slim and gorgeous before you know it! (We are gorgeous now of course.....and lots of people love that....so be proud of yourself and what you have achieved so far.)

It was once suggested to me that once a month was best to weigh yourself as woman's weight fluctuates so widely over the course of a month as well. of course if you are tyrying to lose weigth I suppose that might not be ofetn enough but once you reach a healthy weight then maybe its the way to go.

I am now back the weight I was before I went on holiday a month ago

Well done Tamm. I'm dreading going away next week (well, not really ) as I know I'll put on weight eating all those yummy Cornish pasties. I'll have to do lots of walking which shouldn't be difficult as St Ives is all hills!

Glad to find someone with my weighing habit. Same routine for me every day-loo, naked, scales. How stupid is this? However parched I am I won't have a drink until I've been weighed. I think what you do depends on your personality. If I only got weighed once a week I'd feel out of control.

Was quite sick last weekend and lost half a stone because I didn't eat anything and wasn't hungry for a few days afterwards. Don't recommend it as I felt awful but every cloud etc. I'm going away this weekend so will put it back but that's ok
