Me too Camber. I'd feel totally out of control if I didn't weigh myself every day, first thing in the morning. I know the times I've put on a lot of weight have been when I stopped weighing myself.

Me Too!It sometimes helps me to control my intake that day if I see the weight creeping backsomewhat like today...!I have packed my ryvita and cottage cheese and pitta breads already for wor!LOL.

I do the naked after the loo and before i have eaten anything weigh in too but only once a week, always on a Sunday morning. Howver when I get to my desired weight I do intend to go back to monthly weigh ins (same time every month eg as soon as period is over) just to check I am maintaining a healthy weight but I don't want to obsess over it

I have to agree about the being obsessive. I'm really happy with my weight , in fact I'm a few(3!) pounds under what I feel I should be after being ill last week but I'm sure if I didn't get weighed every day I'd gain at least 5 stone overnight! Is this obsessive?

When I go away and can't get weighed every day I'm in a tizz about it when it's time to get weighed when I get home.

Would it be odd to pop the scales in my case!!!!

If it helps to keep you on track then I wouldn't say it's obsessive. If you're at your ideal weight and still weighing yourself every morning...THEN that might be a wee bit obsessive.

Tamm, you do very well on the once a week so dont think you'd get obsessive somehow.
CAMBER,I took a bedroom fan to Portugal once as I knew my bedroom would be hot so a pair of scales isn't that odd!LOL.
cymrugirl,I'd love to get to my goal weight just to see i I did become obsessive!!LOL.
I have not managed to stick to all healthy food today but did munch the ryvita when needed.Work is rather hard going at the mo and I turn to the quick junk fix all to readily at the mo instead of breathing through it.However I havecome home and dug up a old huge old woody lavender bush from garden so have worked out in a different sort of way!

I went years without weihging myself at all - that's probably how the two and a half stone crept on

LOL Tamm.I on the other hand have always weighed myself and just watched it go up and up!

I have been good for three days in a row lots of fruit and veg, brown rice, muesli, low fat yoghurt etc and not a drop of wine

Have a lunchtime meeting tomorrow though so it's work catering which is always sandwiches with weird fillings and I am minuting the meeting which makes eating tricky leading to me being hungry in the afternoon and heading for chocolate

Well done on the 3 days.Have a snack ready to attack as soon as you get out of the meeting and you may avoid the chocolate!

I sometimes have to go to work lunches and it really bugs me that they have sandwiches, vol au vaunts, mini quiches etc etc. You could eat a year's calories in a lunchtime and it's not that filling either.

Hi everybody! I hope you are all well!

I haven't posted for a while as all my posting activity has taken place on Vincent's thread with me getting almighty excited about going to the "Dance with the Stars" weekend in Blackpool in June!!! Oh, that and looking for a dress!

I was supposed to weigh myself on Monday morning but I forgot and I have forgotten every morning since. That might be a sign!
I did stick to my meal plan last week but this week, I haven't been entirely good as I brought some delicious cheeses back from France that I just couldn't resist any longer! But I haven't had a drop of alcohol since coming back (I think I drank enough in France to last me a year! )

I'll try to remember to get weighed tomorrow, see what the damage is.

mmm, not an altogether successful HER day. All the sandwiches provided for lunch had mayonnaise and someone put the bowl of crisps right in front of me I did avoid chocolate in the office, having satsumas instead. However dropped into Sainsbury's on the way home and somehow chocolate found its way into the basket

At least I walked home and I came the long way which is about 3 miles

Tamm,I think the chocolate is out to get you!LOL.Still the 3 mile walk(wow) will have balanced it out.

stfrench, how fun to be going to 'Dancing with the Stars'.Cheese is hard to resist.I've just dicovered I quite like Roquefort, something I'd have rather starved than eaten before now!Still when it's eaten you won't have it calling your name ...LOL.

LOL! I do happen to have some Roquefort!!

I like your theory Saggy!! But you're right, once it's eaten, the temptation's gone!

It is the temptation to buy more that is hard to deal with

When I go to supermarket, I go through the biscuit aisle and cheese aisle with me eyes closed! Can't see it, won't want it!
In all seriousness, I do a list when I go shopping and work hard at sticking to it. If I go without a list, I'll wander and look around and will end up buying lots of goodies that I don't need and are bad for me.

Like you stfrench, I have to have a list when I go shopping and stick to it, otherwise I would fill the trolley. I also try and go shopping after I've eaten something as shopping when hungry means lots more goodies go in!

Not done very well at all this week as have been out to dinner twice and consumed lots of empty calories in wine and eaten rich food. As of this morning I seem to have put on 4 pounds but if I'm really careful today, maybe it won't be so bad when I get to WW tomorrow morning. It means I haven't got anywhere near my target before driving down to Cornwall on Monday, so I'll have to start again when I get back.

I think we should invent human blinkers(race horse style) for shopping!

FT,It'll be the water retention from the wine!Good luck for tomorrow mornings weigh in,and as you say, jump back on the HER wagon after Cornwall.

I have packed my ryvitas aagain today in the hope that munching them satisfies and means I don't head for the junk.Fingers crossed!

How are the ryvitas doing Saggy?

I have just eaten a very unhealthy sandwich was feeling stressed and under pressure at work this morning and grabbed tastiest looking sandwith in the shop without really thinking. Now feeling too full and uncomfortable

Oh well back to work before the stress mounts up again, fingers crossed it doesn't frive me to the chocolate machine

Just to let you know guys...that when DS is down for two days, there is a temp home for the Ramps fans on my homepage (click on my name and then the homepage bit) and if you need to chat diet, there is room for that too.....I might need help this weekend myself.

Put 2 pounds back on this week, but think it might be water retention due to the lovely time of the month coming up!!! Good luck with the ryvita's Saggy!

And have a lovely weekend FT and remember IF you put any on, just make up for it next week. I'm going to have to be strict with myself for this week.

never mind Tamm.....you'll get back on track, one sandwich won't hurt.

You sound like me...cheese and bread are my downfall. I always have a list, in fact lately Mr Coody has been doing the shopping with a list, to help me avoid temptation.

Nice to see you back from your hols!
