Yes very.I bet you got proper instructions with yours though.mine came with minimal ones and so i've designed my own thing and do 100 3 times in an evening moving my arms in different ways each time.lol.took me a week to get my sense of balance on it.had to hang on to the tall cat scratch to start with.cats weren't impressed.hee hee.Even now i can't turn round to look at something so concentrate on tv and it seems to keep me stable....

The hardest is when you go fast, and not all the way up and down.... oo er!

Makes my thighs wobble a treat!
saggy1

I find I only go that fast if something takes my interest on tv and i speed up!Not noticed thighs, will concentrate on them tomorrow night!Certainly raises heart and breathing rates.Having watched the infomercial presume yours has different levels of hard does it?mine seems to only do one!!
FionaH

Yeah, you can make it really hard to move up and down, or dead easy.

Actually I haven't used mine all week, I must get onto it tomorrow!

Saggy1 - are you taking anything for your knee? I take Cod Liver Oil capsules, Chondroitin and Glucosamine Sulphate and even though my doctor said it wouldn't make any difference, I can really tell when I stop taking them. He said I'll need a new knee within ten years unless I lose a great deal of weight so that's a pretty good incentive. Like you I have no cartilage left in it! Too much running when much younger, I suspect.

But thanks for the tip about the carbohydrates. I have virtually stopped eating bread as of about three weeks ago. At first I thought I'd miss it but now it doesn't bother me at all. If only I could persuade the others in the office (all much younger and skinny!) to stop buying doughnuts, cakes and biscuits every day then I might lose a bit more weight (can't resist them but have to try!).

BTW Coody, have you thought about what time of day we are doing the great weigh in on Saturday? I'd prefer the morning as one is always lighter then

Cod Liver Oil really does help the joints! As well as Glucosamine! My ankles tend to get quite weak - they are very narrow and I put lots of pressure on them. When I remember to take my Cod Liver Oil & Glucoasmaine there is a noted improvement. You can get a combined formula in tablet form by Seven Seas. Which reminds me to go take one

I'm really sorry, but tonight I am SO fed up - I have been eating so healthily with no fat, sugar or salt, and I think my body is rebelling against me (specially with monthly imminent)

So instead of actually killing someone, I am having a chinese tonight!

Good evening!Fiona, enjoy! We all need something yummy sometimes!!

Force ten,yes i take cod liver oil fairly regularly.I found it helped last year and I do notice when I forget.I will go get the combined one Peach talks about as I've been meaning to add that in for ages but can't ever remember what it's called when i go shopping.I'm taking vitamin E too at the mo in the hope that it might help my skin tone up and shrink as I loose weight.(I grew up in Ireland and still have Irish logic thoughts like these...).

Absolutely plan on weighing myself tomorrow am!Am hopeful of a pleasing outcome as cough/cold has throat and ears so sore I don't want to eat or drink much at the mo!Will mean less loss next week but hey who cares!!Doesn't happen often in my life...lol.

Your doctor may say they wont make any difference but one of my lecturers (i think he does arthritis research but cant say fore sure) said today that cod liver oil and glucosamine do help so keep up with taking them.

I can definitely feel the effects when I stop taking them... and when I start taking them (after I've forgotton for a while!)

Have to say girls.... I spent the day shopping today...thinking about all of you and this thread and how bad I have been this week! I don't really need to lost more than a few pounds (but those I'd like to lose as it means some of my clothes feel tight and I don't want to buy bigger!) ... the red wine is probably not helping tonight but I AM going to join you all and be good! My problem right now is I just moved into a new house and I'm loving playing in my new kitchen which involves making and eating food! (I now make wicked scrambled egg from the pan instead of the microwave!) But not too good for me I know

Anyway... keep inspiring each other and good luck to you all!!!!

I'm flexible....it is just to help us all. No hard and fast rules.

Anytime you like I think, I just said the Sat evening/Sunday morning as it would be after the show which may inspire us, but to be honest, I weigh myself on Friday mornings as mornings are better...(don't know why I do fridays.)

So maybe we should (as it seems appropriate) 'weigh in' on a Monday morning, say how much we have lost in the last week, regardless of when we weigh ourselves over the weekend. Am I making sense? Or just everyone weigh themselves on a Monday morning..start of the week, after SCD and all that. (I will try not to pig out from Friday to Monday. )

What do you all think? Monday mornings, start of the week okay with you all? And then we can all commiserate/congratulate and encourage each other for the next week.

I don't actually own a set of scales (stingy student) so I'm just going by how i look and how clothes feel on me. I wore a little skirt and a tight top to dancing tonight and we have a whole wall of mirrors to see ourselves in and I reckon I look better. Is that good enough?

That's fab Hannah! I don't weigh myself either. Just cause it upsets me too much! I just go by my clothes and how comfortable I feel

Totally! Rosemary conley makes you measure yourselves, and if I don't lose weight one week, I see if I have lost inches. I have lost over 50 inches so far.

And my mum said she used to, when she was dieting, get a bit of string and put it round her waist and measure it, and then see if it decreased week after week.

Some weeks I don't lose any pounds but do lose inches...that is just as important..so yes, that is good enough. And well done you for wearing that and hope you had a lovely night.

This is so informal....just log in on a Monday and say how you have done the last week...you don't even need to say any figures (I won't be on the weeks I go wrong. ) It's the encouragement here more than anything, that will help us all, I think.

Monday morning it is. Glad about that as this morning has been a bit of a nightmare. I had to take my car to the body shop and will be car-less for some time as I had an accident last night and hit a motorcyclist. Fortunately he's okay but my car and his bike don't look too healthy. I had to have several large drinks when I got home (for the shock you understand!) which won't have done the diet any good at all. However, I've got the weekend to exercise and be good.

Glad everyone is ok, FT! How awful!

You definately need a drink or two for the shock. *hugs*

Thanks FionaH. I feel worse this morning than I did last night. I'm about to watch last night's ITT to cheer myself up.
