I've have a zero loss and absolutely dreading Sunday when I get on the scales. Need saggy et.al to help me end the year on track and go some way to achieving my 1stone loss by the end of SCD. (a dream, but at least I could be nearer than I am at the moment).

Gritty, you have been doing so well, keep to what you were doing that you told us was enjoyable for you.It will come off!

I have been going the wrong way,I did wonder if the scales were working backwards but no it is me getting larger.
I do wonder if we can all support each other and reach the stone by the end of SCD.

Right I stand up right here and now to be counted and state that I WILL go back on HER from Monday for AT LEAST a week...

I think my scales are going backwards as well I can't seem to get my head into HER gear at the moment. I had the excuse of my birthday but that's well past now and I have had a few health issues, but I know if I got back into HER they would improve lol. Every week I start on Monday meaning to be good and by Wednesday it's all gone to pot again. Maybe I should start on Thursdays for a change

Glad you are all in!

FT,you will be nagged this week,so you may as well give up now.lol.

7 days is not a long time.I'm going to make myself a star chart and break it down into morning, afternoon and evening. It means I will have to face each section of the day and know there'll be no star if I give in...It works for the kids at work,so it may work for me...
The hardest part may well be giving up alcohol as I've got used to my weekend 'tipple' again.

Overcame that feeling of dread and stepped on scales this morning after all! Not too bad - lost 1 lb. I'm happy with that as I had visited with my good friends Ben & Jerry (Caramel Chew Chew) this week.

Got a new DVD this week - Pilates for Dummies , been practising it and am really glad my knee is better (old injury - weather changes aggravate it or maybe just age!) and back to Body Pump this week!

It would be OK if I had never done Pilates before - good explanation of how to do the exercises. Problem is as with other instructional types - you outgrow it very quickly.
But would recommend it as a learning tool if you have never tried before.

I've always been a crap crap working out how Pilates works, so may see if I can lay my hands on it cheap somewhere!

Right,here we go,another week!!

I have woken up determined,I have had yogurt for my breakfast and I've packed my apple and nuts for during the morning. Now all I have to do is work them into my carzy work routine and all will be fine.
I downed a bottle of wine last night as it was needed for medicinal purposes and now hope to avoid alcohol until next Monday!!
I am even thinking on exercising tomorrow and Thurs morning when I have my 2 work free mornings.
It's going to be an interesting week ahead.lol.

Good luck everyone.

Going to have to declare that last week was a non-dieting week. Didn't even get to go on the scales yesterday as we had family around. Can't go today as off out.

So, I'm re-starting today (ignoring scales until next Sunday). Hope this strategy works!!

Just found this thread.... almost scared to post on it because it commits me then

But I SO need to lose weight - so I'll join you if I may?
Let me first just say:
I HATE DIETING

There - got it out of my system. Okay, so here goes. Good luck everyone else this week in keeping to the good stuff and the exercise. Let's hope by the end of SCD we are leaner and fitter!

Welcome JaneFinn

I've found this thread really supportive - it helps to 'dump' the failures in here so you can move forward.

So often, we break the diet, feel bad and can't get ourselves motivated to re-start. No doubt that's why we often end up weighing more after we finish dieting

Feel good about yourself, try and be 80% successful (so don't beat yourself up) and enjoy the chit-chat and support of others obsessing about their weight.

Welcome JaneFinn. I only started coming in here recently myself. Everyone very supportive.
I confess, my name is MegaDancer and I am a compulsive eater! (Well not diagnosed, but I can't resist food).
I seem to have no willpower, esp when I stopped smoking recently. But have done bit better last few days. Being very healthy, fruit, veg & chocs chucked out.
I had lost a lb on Sat! Yeah! Hopeing to make it to 2 this week.

I like to think you can have anything in moderation (well, the only thing I think should not be touched till you've lost the weight is alcohol) Having breakfast and exercising is a good start

JaneFinn - don't think of it as a diet but a way of life. If you can get into good eating habits daily then that's most of the battle. Of course the other bit is exercise It doesn't all have to be rabbit food but cooking for yourself will definately help.

Have a great week everyone.

For the first time in ages, I weighed myself and noted a distinct weight loss!

YAY!

For quite some time, the good weigh-ins have been where I haven't gained anything!

It's nice to be finally going in the right direction even if it is slowly!
