recommend a new hdtv cheers

kids have ripped playstation wires out of front audio sockets of my old toshiba 28w8db and we now have a green, blue screen. can anyone tell me what has happened and recomened a new hdtv if we need one. cheers teabags

Hard to say what is wrong with your TV without seeing it I'm afraid. As for recommendations for HD TV's, I can give Toshiba's a recommendation - I've got the 37WLT66 which is brilliant, even on SD broadcasts. I believe the 32" is just as good.

If there's a danger the kids may attack again then I guess you don't want to risk too much on an HDTV. In that case the £399 Technosonic 32" from Woolworths is a good idea (if you can lay your hands on one). It started life as a £999 Thomson model so is remarkably better than the £399 price tag might actually suggest!
