I am starting to wonder where all this in fighting is going to end.
Looking at the piece on Jan Ravens in the Mirror I saw at the end

Quote:
“Meanwhile, rugby star Matt Dawson, 34, and axed dancer James Jordan nearly came to blows during rehearsals on Saturday.

They clashed after Dawson told BBC 2 spin-off show It Takes Two that he wasn't impressed with the way Jordan treated his ousted partner, Casualty's Georgina Bouzova, 30.

A BBC source said: "They had a massive row and almost came to blows.

"James was furious about what Matt had said and confronted him about it and they started shouting at each other. Anton had to step in separate them."”

How did Saturday evening entertainment turn so heated.

I agreed with Brendan's comments about the Judges losing the plot.

Where will it end ?

This is getting pretty ugly and I'm not liking it one bit

All that's left now is for a member of the audience to launch a physical attack on one on the judges during the live show

I agree with you i'm considering not letting my 9yr old daughter watch the show with out me watching it first.
We all used to sit down as a family and enjoy the show.
This week she went to bed crying as she really loves Brendan and Claire.

One has to wonder if we are watching a Saturday night family entertainment show or a cross between panto and a soap! All this fighting and pettiness is really starting to spoil the programme and BBC need to start sorting it and fast!

It can't just be me that would have paid good money to see that - could it?

Sorry! <embarassed smilie>

This series isn't quite turning out as expected. It's a cross between a Christmas panto and a nightclub brawl!

Why was she crying ~ because they were in the bottom two, or because their dance was so dreadful? Must admit I was close to tears watching them: boredom

What will she do when they are voted off?
It's due soon, she's one of the weakest dancers left in

I think I'd pay to see that, Kat! In fact, I'd sell tickets!

I'm not going to disagree with you about how weak Claire maybe at dancing.
It's the personal attacks that go on. Bruno was very personal this week. Arllene is just a dirty old woman.
The show is dropping it's standards and the BBC appear to be encouraging it.
Brendan and Claire may well have been better if the BBC hadn't cut their dance content in the Saturday rehearsal !!!
Anyway, the thread isn't about how my daughter will cope when Claire and Brendan leave it's about how the standard of behaviour has dropped on the show.

I have this image in my head of Anton in a shirt and tie grinning madly just as he steps in between them, saying something along the lines of "gentlemen, let's be sensible about this now shall we?".

Now that I would pay to see.

To be honest, I'm beginning to look forward to Brendan and Claire's exit so that the constant talk of "filth" lessens. I agree with carolinelise about almost needing to watch it first before I let my 7 and 4 year old daughters watch. It can only be a matter of time before they ask what is meant by "dirty" or "horny".

I don't mind a few innuendos but it's non-stop whenever Brendan and Claire appear (not that I'm blaming them).

Me too Nausikaa, would've been worth seeing. Good job he did step in, by the sound of it, before they came to blows.

I think this is being encourage by the producers of SCD to raise the viewing figures. The X Factor seem to have blow ups all the time. Last year it was between Simon and Louie who threatened to never appear again on the show!!! Now they are fighting again over some singer and it was on This Morning being talked about at great length. Obviously this attracts viewers and unfortunately for us poor twits who actually enjoyed Strictly Come Dancing for the dancing and entertainment value, we are being forgotten. All this in-fighting and acid comments from the judges smacks of X Factor and it is the main reason why I do not watch the show. I am enjoying Mark and Karen he is absolutely dynamite when he dances. I could do without all this nonesense between the judges and I would appreciate it if they were able to mark the dancers fairly and use a basic standard for all the dancers. I thought James Jordan was very abusive to his partner and was glad he never had to teach me anything!! I would have had a nervous breakdown trying to cope with him!! Brendan I agree with and hope that something is done about the judges or there will not be another series of Strictly Come Dancing as they will lose viewers in droves if this childish behaviour continues much longer. The competitors should lighten up a bit and enjoy the experience rather than stressed out of their heads. I felt sorry for Jan and I am sure her reaction was made worse due to the fact her three kids were in the audience and it must have been dreadfully embarassing for her to be voted out. BUT it is supposed to be a bit of fun for charity - Remember!!

The BBC must be over the moon with the ratings, they'll be thinking of ways and means now to sustain them.

We haven't had the "exciting twist" yet, not even so much as a "Chinese burn."
So expect more controversy before the series ends.
That much is guaranteed.

I don't want an exciting twist the series has annoyed me enough...

Why can't it just be normal!!! Can't we just watch the celebs improve during the week and dance on the weekend without fighting and crying, screaming and shouting...

Fair enough I love watching the judges argue but they have become very personal and they seem to be magnifying this personality that they are MEANT to have... I love them all to pieces (apart from Arlene) but they can argue amongst themselves aslong as they are giving the couple constructive critisim, I doubt being drooled over is gonna help Mark realise why he's got the mark given, and Bruno attempting to look after Louisa isn't gonna help her...

Oh please!!! - you talk about the standard of behaviour when clearly Brendan Cole is guilty of dragging it down - that dreadful posturing on Saturday you surely cannot believe that to be dancing , it was at worst painful at best boring BC is a brilliant talented dancer and that is what he should stick to and all this silly arguing by him is because he has a partner, who by comparison to others is not a good dancer and despite good legs has looked like a drag queen from the start - and he doesn't like being in the also rans so causes controversy to create headlines.

I have to agree to a certain extent. Brendan had a point the first time round - although I don't think it was perhaps the best time to air it. This Saturday he just acted like a petunlant child, unable to take reasonable and valid criticism good grace. I wasn't surprised but disappointed to hear him blame what he said last week on the scores. If they had done a very good dance he might have had a case but, as it was, it was poor and he should have buttoned it and accepted the score.

He's not the only one to blame but I can't help thinking that if he had gone out 2nd or 3rd week none of this 'controversy' would exist, certainly not to the extent we have now.
