Does anyone kknow if there is going to be a series 3 of strictly dance fever??? I really hope there is.

Also I noticed someone posted a link to see darren and emma dance

Does anyone know if there is anywhere I can see darrien and hollies danced from the final. I went on holiday that day and set sky plus to record it and it failed!!!

I nearly sued sky!!!
I was devastated!!! I have spent 5 months trying to get hold of it. I even wrote to the bbc and they didnt care either!!!

Go Lousia and Vincent!!!!!!

Thought of Darrien and Holly's great free dance on Saturday when Canned Heat was performed on SCD. Thanks for the link.

I hope there's not another series of SDF unless they have gorgeous Ben Richards adjudicating - did he do it last time?

Edit: I feel I should apologise... sorry just don't like it and haven't been impressed by the standard of dancers on any series yet... I can't believe they're the highest quality they could find - I can watch amatuers any day of the week.. give me Strictly any day!

I couldn't get into it... when they first mentioned it I had this wild hope it'd be like Strictly but with members of the public (not that I'd've probably got in, but you can dream, can't you!) dancing with the pros...

Thank you so much for the link to darrien and hollie!! Why is there so much darren and lana and only one darrien and hollie when they won!!!

I love strictly come dancing especially watching the proffesionals but i do get really emotionally involved with strictly dance fever and they are allowed to do lifts and that makes it more interesting.

Lifts for me are about the 'least' dance-like of a routine.. it's like sticking gymnastics in a dance routine.... I'd far rather see people actually 'dancing' than doing acrobatics. There's hardly ever any feeling involved in performing a lift... they have to be so technically correct and it doens't matter who is doing the lift.. it looks the same where as dancing steps can look different when different people do the same steps.

loathe SDF and actively discourage pupils to go for it, one did last year and he and his partner split moments before they went into audition with Arlene after getting through several rounds. They went in and performed a samba with his partner deliberately dancing wrongly Arlene started to have a go but the girl told her what for luckily it wasnt shown on TV and James has now put other off going for it

As somewhat of a lift specialist, I think a really good lifts couple can go beyond that - I think David Howland/Vivienne Ramsey and the Savoys got plenty of feeling in their heyday. And again, David Howland, David Savoy and Victor da Silva all look quite different doing the same lift.

But I'd agree the obsession with lifts in SDF is stupid - in particular the way the contestants have to put them into every dance, whether or not it makes choreographic sense. And the judges don't seem to really know how to judge them anyhow - they called easy lifts difficult and gave no credit for hard lifts made to look easy. Arlene kept going on about the men needing to be strong, but the only time I saw a lift go wrong due to an actual lack of strength (as opposed to poor technique) none of them commented on it.

As far as appearing on SDF, I couldn't think of anything worse! The pressure must be unreal, and all the cameras are there during practice just waiting for you to have a row. And I don't know any couples who don't have rows during practice...
