Chinese Democracy - Out Monday
Apparently, it's out on Monday 13th November both here and in the US, according to Wikipedia. I know, take it with a pinch of salt, but I really hope it is out soon!

me too!
i have heard only 1 song which was madagascar which i thought was good. being a major slash fan i will find it interesting to hear a Guns album without him on it, although i will be quite sad! i will be buying it though as i still think axl was a great singer. |

Some songs to look out for on the album are "The Blues", "There Was A Time (T.W.A.T)" and the rumoured first single "Better". All sound really good.

Yep, the album batch is being delivered in a big pumpkin coach pulled by Shergar and ridden by Lord Lucan and Elvis.

With such cringe inducing titles like this, is it any wonder that Axl Rose stopped becoming relevant over a decade and a half ago. Last edited by Dark Drums : 08-11-2006 at 09:02. |

Tuesday 21st November 2006 has been mentioned quite a few times, less than a week to go I suppose until we find out.

There is nothing definite in that wiki article - surely there would be displays and things in record stores. No word on Amazon about it (just tried a search). Unless it's going to be download-only.

The Wikipedia article gets changed almost every day with people who claim to have confirmation of the date, then post meaningless websites as their 'proof'. All we know is that it definitely will be released on a Tuesday before the end of the year, according to the tour press release, so there's 5 to go. 21st Nov, 28th Nov, 5th Dec, 12th Dec, or 19th Dec. I can't see it being released on Boxing Day. Surely they would want it out for the Christmas rush?

If this album actually is released by the end of 2006 I will eat my 1987 Axl-style cowboy boots

Watch this date - Tuesday December 19. That is the new/current supposed release date for the Guns N Roses Chinese Democracy album. I'm told that the plan is still to try and surprise fans with the release, but the November 21 date for this has been scrapped. The guys are definitely running out of time for that 2006 release date. Advance warning or not, the release of this album will surprise many!

I looked up Chinese Democracy on Amazon and got this message:

No shops are reporting any release date or copies of the album, and Universal even said they dont expect the album to be released this year!!!
So I would hold your breath!! Plus come on... wheres the promotion.... and the first single being released!!! |

Apologies - I should have put quotation marks around the message - it comes from www.melodicrock.com
Personally, I no longer care if it ever sees the light of day. I enjoyed them whilst they lasted and had a great time at Donington '88 and the gigs at Wembley Stadium but that was then and time has moved on... Last edited by SweetCheater : 22-11-2006 at 10:45. |

I still believe in Father Christmas but have long since grown out of the notion of Chinese Democracy appearing.

I don't know why people are so convinced the album is being released in 2006 anyway... all Axl said was that people would "hear music" this year, and we have.
Who cares, anyway? I love Guns N' Roses but this is just Axl and whoever he's hired this week. The new songs didn't exactly blow me away. |

And the world all went "I remember this great band many millenia ago..."
"A little more on that December 19 release date for Chinese Democracy. An update from my original source: "...GNR mgmt is wavering on that date and that they (Universal) don't even know if it's solid anymore...they told me they don't expect it anymore in 2006..."" Source: www.melodicrock.com I now officially no longer care!

It won't be out until 2007. Virtual certainty I would've thought.
