Jan Ravens: The ego has landed

Isn't it funny how so called comedians turn out to be so humourless.
Surely she did not think she was in with a realistic chance of winning the series!
I feel really sorry for Anton, he worked really hard with her and she was starting to improve, perhaps he should have worked on her manners instead
I am sure that the public warm more to those celebs who are throwing themselves into it e.g Peter,Mark,Carol (my prediction for the top three).

I think the other two suffering from a sense of humour failure, Matt and Louisa will be next to go.

Generally-I'm always surprised when people desperately want to stay when it is clearly such a struggle for them.
Is there lots of dosh involved?

I don't think people want to stay in because of the money, more because some enjoy it so much. Being taught how to dance by a top professional all day every day must be an amazing experience!

I agree, I prefer those who throw themselves into it completely and genuinely love the experience like Carol, Mark, Peter and Ray...also Claire. I can't warm to the others so much. I also think Louisa will have a bit of a shocking early exit.

Well put, couldn't agree more. I'd want to stay in as long as possible.

Sad, sad sad.Jan Ravens. She was a rubbish dancer and a bad loser. she was lucky not to be voted off first, but that could only have been because of anton's fanbase and the British public loving the underdog.
How totally embarassing to shout at Craig and be so pathetic. well she will have the rest of this series to think about what a fool she made of herself.

Jan has managed the almost impossible - made CRH go up in my estimation!!!

As I said on another thread, I don't even want her doing Monday's backstage report, give the gig to Anton ITT please.

I thought it was hilarious when she wailed "are you happy now?" at the judges - they marked Brendan and Claire the lowest, it was the public that voted her out so she should have been wailing direct to camera.

I really wanted Claudia to point that out to her on IT2 on Monday but she didn't.

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere (haven't had time to go through all the threads yet cos I'm at work ~ naughty I know!) but Jan & Anton were on BBC news this morning. I only saw it in bits and bobs as I was rushing round to get ready to leave for work, but a brief recap of what I did see:
whilst Jan seemed to have calmed down somewhat, and did seem genuinely very sorry to be out of the comp, she still wouldn't apologise for the "hope you're happy" remark ~ the female presenter (don't know her name, sorry ~ don't usually watch it, I only flicked it on to see if there was anything about Britney's divorce ) asked her if she regreted it, and she waffled a bit about "being passionate" (there's that "P" word again!) and was (to my interpretation) quite unrepetant. She did admit, however, that even Craig had given her a six she'd probably still have gone out due to the public vote (or lack thereof). So looks like she has started to digest the reality of the situation to some degree. Nothing mentioned about the "shove" incident (but maybe I was running round trying the find a pair of ladder-free tights and missed it if it was....)

She probably feels a bit silly about it now and wants to play it down. If she started apologising it might make headlines again.
