Is my Nokia 6100 dead ?

Hi All,

I recently had my Nokia 6100 stop working on me. I leave my phones switched on 24/7 and one night, completely without warning the phone locked up with the error message "Contact service" in red lettering on the screen.

I have tried power off/power on, remove battery/SIM etc. but I am still receiving the same error message.

I contacted Virgin Mobile (I'm not sure if the phone is unlocked or not, can't remember) and they said my account was fine and there was nothing they could do for the phone as it is outside of warranty.

It's a shame really as it's a cracking little phone and isn't that old really - about 18 months - and I am on Incapacity Benefit so can't afford to replace it.

Is there anything that can be done for the phone as I really like it or have I got to bin it ?

Many thanks,

Steve.
