Help with trying to re-activate old Vodafone SIM Card

Just wondering if anyone can help me. I have an old Vodafone SIM card that I want to reactivate as I haven't used it in a while, particularly because it had a good number that I want back. Up until recently it was still working, but now when I ring the number I just get a dead tone.

This happened to me a while ago but I just phoned Vodafone and got them to re-activate it. However, when I phoned them up last night the woman I got through to said that there was no way I could get the number back.

I'm just a bit annoyed as I have had it for years! I was just going to top it up and start using it again. Does anybody have ideas or what department I should phone?

Many thanks.

If not used for 180 days, then the numbers are disconnected.

the number may well have been reissued, or put back in the pot.

It's strange because I've got another Vodafone number that hasn't been used for even longer - and that is still working! It's all just a bit strange...

It's not as though somebody else has even got it, as nothing happens when I dial it.

The same thing happened to me a few years ago, and they were just able to reactivate it the SIM card and I got the number back. I thought they would just be able to do this again.

I would really like the number back.

the typical system for it all is the number needs to be topped up, unless the number has been canceled. if that is the case there is no way to get it back.

Your number is lost forever. You'll have to buy a new SIM card with a new number.
