Don't you think that the quirky judges are all part of what makes SCD what it is? Four different personalities, four different people to like or dislike.
Don't you think it's a case of better the devil you know? Who else could we get that would stir up such feelings as our present judges do?

Although I could see Brendan's point of view, I also understand that they are individuals looking for different things in the dance. For instance, if Craig thinks that a dance was very creative he might give a higher score despite the fact that the contestant's steps were out. So yes, although not everyone agrees with them, they are consistent in not being consistent which makes the programme interesting.

Also, we have to remember that most reality TV is contrived

I don't always agree with them but I think they are good for the show. Their marking may not be consistent at times, but that happens in real comps too! Especially in world comps where you're likely to see politics involved. And when you have people of similar talent, a lot of it boils down to personal taste. They are fairly consistent at signalling the weakest and strongest couples when it comes to the leaderboard, and I think the celebrities take it too personally at times. I know it's hard not to, but I think they just need to realise that they're judging the dancing not them per se.

I can undertsand the dancers having fake tan etc., but why is Craig R-B's face so caked with foundation and fake tan?

It wouldn't be the same with other judges. It's like with Bruce, he can be annoying at times, but I would miss him if he left the show.
