Amen to that - I want a good series and an exciting final!

I would love them to win, BUT, I just don't think it's possible to rule out things like:

1) people taking against them because they're so good
2) things starting to go wrong - another disaster, a loss of confidence, the ballroom not living up to the Latin
3) simply, improvement slowing down and even though they're good, other couples showing more improvement, therefore seeming more interesting
4) the fickle great British public and others' larger fanbases
5) calls of favouritism making people go off them (though I happen to think they've earned their marks thus far - except possibly a very high mark from Bruno for the tango?)

There are just so many factors, and we're only 5 weeks in. It's too early to say.

I reeeeeeeeeeeeally hope they make it to the final or at least the semis, because I'd love to have seen them dance every dance (a showdance in the final would be great too obviously!)

It was interesting to hear Emma on TV this week saying
she thought her rivals for the title are Mark and Louisa.
To be honest I thinks thats a tad presumptious.
I'm absolutely underwhelmed by Emma so far.
Alhough their not my favourite couple Mark and Karen
have looked one of the standout couples so far.

She certainly shouldn`t discount Ray and Carol !

Carol hasn't got the wow factor for me either, she's
looked adequate so far but tame. It always looks as though
Matthew is just pulling her around.
Mark and Ray look convincing because they have to lead
and be in command.

Like quite a few people on the forum I can not imagine anyone else winning but Mark and Karen because they are not just well liked on this forum but also by everyone you speak to. It is a bit like X-factor last year – everyone thought Shane was going to win from the start - because he was talented and appealing…and unsurprisingly he did. Mark is great dancer, likable and fairly good looking. Although nothing is ever a complete certainty – The odds on Mark not winning must be the same as my bus not being late this morning…

FOR GAWDS SAKE, PLEASE DO NOT GO AROUND SAYING THINGS LIKE THE OP HAS.

The very last thing any Mark and Karen fans need to do is get all cocky about them winning. Especially as the standard of celebs is so high this year, and who can forget Colin and Erin's first ever televised dance suicide? And remember Spoony's shock exit, it is not a million miles away from losing a rather good pair to the ultimately best couple NOT winning SCD.

Now with people saying Mark has got it in the bag some might just assume the GBP (many still classed as muppets) will keep voting for them. Well Don't cos if everyone just assumes everyone else is voting for Mark and Karen then we know what will happen.

I saw or heard Emma being interviewed and she mentioned she thought Mark was big competition - I can't remember when it was. It might have been talking to Jonathan Ross on the radio on Saturday.

Emma has a lot of competition; they all do.
