Lack of Sky channels

I got my Humax 9200T up and running the same time as my Panasonic 32" LCD which also has Freeview on board,
The Panny diplays ALL the Freeview channels.
The Humax doesn't have Sky News, Sky Sports News, E4+1, and ITV 3 & 4.
Can anyone explain why this is happening?
I take the antenna feed from the same source.
I live in Holloway, North London and my signal, I think, is from Crystal Palace.

Regards and thanks

I get my signal from Crystal Palace as well and I can receive all those channels no problem. Are you splitting the signal between the two recievers? This will reduce the strength by half. Maybe try putting all the signal to the 9200T and see if ti picks them up. Then you might be able to switch back again to splitting the signal and see if the quality is OK.

check they aren't up in the 800's this can sometimes happen when 2 transmitters are picked up.

I'm sorry, I'm a bit of a novice. Could you explain what you mean by up in the 800's.
Also the feed is coming direct from the aerial socket into the 8200T then into the Panasonic from the Hummy, but the Panasonic has all the channels while the Hummy hasn't.
I don't understand how I can split the signal. Could you explain how.

Can't be a reception issue, ITV1,2,3 & 4 are all on the same mux. You can check what's on each mux here...

I would suggest you delete all the channels on the Humax and rescan to see what you get.

Hello and thanks.

The problem seems to be that all the channels I can't receive through the Hummy are on 'Multiplex C 16 QAM'.

Is there a way of solving this problem?

Regards & Thanks

Just a suggestion, try plugging the aerial into the 9200T only and see if you get all the channels.

Also is the aerial split off to another TV/digi box before it reaches the 9200T?

Scroll up through the channels (I think) the highest numbered channel should be Sky Sports news in the 80's but it is possible when scanning the good channels were numbered 800 and higher.

If this is the case you need to delete all the channels (it's best to start fresh) and scan each mux frequency to traget the strongest transmition. You might be picking up signals from two transmitters and the weaker signal is taking preference ove the stronger signal.

If you do have channels number 800 and higher go to one of these and check the signal strength when tuned in, this gives you the freqency of that mux and tells you what you need to manually scan.

I have the aerial plugged direct into the 9200T, and then from there into the TV. The TV has all the channels but, despite searching every channel, the 9200 can't seem to find the channels required. Is there a way of clearing everything and starting from scratch? Surely if the channels are available on the TV which takes it's signal through the 9200T they should also be visible on the 9200? If anybody has experience of anything weird like this can they advise, please.

Yep Default settings, you will find it in the installation menu.

Bear in mind this will reset everything, recording schedule, tv settings, favorites......but any recordings you have made will remain.

Mux C should be on Channel 34 if you're on Crystal Palace.

It might be worth checking what the Humax is getting on that channel by going into installation/manual search. If you are getting high signal strength but no signal quality you might have something like a VCR outputing over that channel.
