i don't think allowances should be made in the marks...as a a dance shoud be marked for its own merits....just when they are making comments, as they are more aware of the reasons.

In response to the comment made earlier that Claire is going for the sympathy vote, I feel you are completely wrong here. There is no point in her standing there getting reptitive feedback on her movements when there is NOTHING she can do about it. As for the sympathy vote, I think she is simply wanting to highlight the condition and say that while its hell, people with the condition can still carry on.

Nicely put hmu!

she is saying it to give people with the condition a little bit of hope!!

I did actually say that it might LOOK as if she were going for a sympathy vote (albeit unintentionally) and that might affect peoples view of her. I would have preferred her to wait until she left the show to highlight the problems myself, but that does not mean I am not sympathetic to her condition.

i dont think shes going for the sympathy vote at all as she's left it rather late in the competition to mention it at all....i havent seen her complain on the show about it once.

Claire doesn't need allowances to be made for her posture. Her perfectly arched back every single weeks shows all the other girls up hands down. I think more attention should be paid to Louisas awful posture her shoulders are permenantly slouched :S

It was pretty bendy!”

With RA you do often get flare ups so it is possible that she managed to do the first bend in the Rumba without too much difficulty but in the Tango she happened to be having a flare up and could not lean back at all. As a fellow RA sufferer and dancer, you do want to push yourself to the best you can, but it is not always physically possible even if it is mentally!

Thanks for the explanation ~ I really don't know about RA, so i didn't understand that. I'm amazed she's got this far with it, it sounds quite tricky for a dancer

At the risk of sounding like my own grandma, she wants to try standing up straight and tucking her bottom in ~ every shot of her on ITT last night she was hanging round someone's neck (Emma, Vincent). Stand up straight and support yourself with your own spine, girl!

She looks like a ragdoll and it's really irritating me.

Don't they teach posture to actresses these days?

You'd think they would, wouldn't you? I had a similar sort of posture when I was younger (very arched back with sticky out bum! My mum said I was like a duck!) and was sent to ballet classes where I was genuinely made to walk with books balanced on my head! I can still do it, too.
