Especially as the lower earners have prompted the most debates on these forums! No wonder some of them looked so pleased to go, I would as well. My thoughts would be "you're getting paid a lot more than me mateyboy, I'm off to the Versace"!

And by massive coincidence the top 4 earners will almost certainly be the final 4 left in camp. Shocking stuff!

He was put in as the American freak-show, but has turned out to be a lovely, funny guy - as most of them have, none of them is round the loop this year which is great. I think he is worth the money. If Jason D is bringing viewers then he is worth it, personally I find him pleasant and decent but dull and too squeaky clean and I would have found someone a bit more of the moment. I would have thought Myleene would have done it for £5K but she probably has a good agent. I can't see why Lauren or Toby would get more than the others, there are loads of celebs who would do it for virtually nothing as it is soooo profile raising.

Factor in the profit from the phone calls (50p each)

At a guess...

6p to BT
10p to charity
10p to provider
9p to VAT man
15p to ITV

and the Guest is allegedly already getting circa 150,000 calls per day. (ie £22000+ ITV income/day) I reckon that they are on course to more than recoup his fees from the home voting.

If those voting figures are to be believed, Jan Leeming is by far the most profitable celeb for ITV. They have recouped her fees in a couple of days voting, plus they obviously made a fair bit from the BTT votes as she won most of them...

IMHO, I think it is wrong that some get more than others - it feeds the ego that some are better than others, when infact, they are all there to spotlight/relaunch careers.

They are all doing the same thing and should all get the same amount of money, but I guess the fickle "celebrity" world has a price for everything

Clothes to wear (he's allowed to keep 'em, they could last two years), free grub. It's more than he deserves.

His BTT story should get him free drinks for a month or two .....

20,000 pounds is not that much but I guess they earn way more in interview fees and PA money after they leave the jungle. Plus the possibility it will lead to some more work. As Dean hasn't worked in a long time it wouldn't suprise me if he did it for free (he probably got 20k though).

I think the fees are about right, david was always going to bring something different to the show and would not have done it for less as he doesn't need the publicity. Jason needs the publicty for career satisfaction but probably not financially as his hits will have earnt him a good amount over the years, so they needed to make it attractive to him. Mylene's career is actually going pretty well for a IAC contestant, she still sells albums and presents TV shows so they would have had to pay her more than the average (wouldn't be surprised if she agreed to a certain amount of time in her bikini for an extra few grand). Apart from anything else these three are likely to be the final three so it is money well spent.

Well apparently he was on the dole in September this year (after begging Eastenders to take him back) so I don't expect he's getting much. LINK

They’re probably so glad to get onto the show, that they would do it for free. As it will gain them exposure, and raise their profile, and may earn them more money in the future.
