To cancel a reminder - Select the programme (with the arrow keys) that is marked for a reminder (a picture of a clock will be showing next to the programme name) and press OK. (The method for de-selecting a reminderer is the same as the method for setting up a reminder.)

Ah, cheers.

But how do I stop it setting up reminders automatically?

That's never happened to me. I'll have to pass on that one.

If you setup a series reminder then you may need to cancel it in "My Reminders"

(Not at home so cannot elaborate)

I don't have any reminders set by me at all.
Yet i do get reminders occasionally, - I figure they must be set by Homechoice.

They probably get paid to set them by advertisers / channels ??

I've never heard of this and it's never happened to me!

Do you have multiple logins? Could you be getting other people's reminders? Could it be a case of pressing the yellow key in error? (aka "Fat Finger Syndrome")

Check "My Reminders" anyway. Otherwise I'd call Customer Services...

Not Multiple login. No reminders ever setup at all.
Don't use the Homechoice remote & haven't programmed my learning remote with any of the colour keys , so probably not those options.

It only appears very very rarely , so not worth a call to a helpdesk imho.
When it does happen there is only that programme in my reminders.

It's Mus1 who wants an answer, i'm just vaguely interested .

Well, the system does remember which programs I have watched, so at 12:10 on a Saturday it'll remind me about Football Focus and I'll have to budge my fat a**e off the sofa to find the remote to clear it off the screen. Then it'll remind me the next week.

I find it irritating and I've never asked it to do that. I'll have to ring HC I suppose.

I've had unexpected reminders pop-up now and again, but always put it down to me having pressed OK too many times when browsing the EPG and changing channels. I've found it quite easy to unintentionally set a reminder this way, especially when you change channel to watch live programming but the guide is showing you future scheduling.

Also, we don't really make proper use of the "user" accounts in my house and tend to just randomly "log-in" to these, and use "guest" most often. So, even if you did want a reminder it doesn't appear as the user that set it hasn't logged in on the day the programme is actually on.
