Should we be panicking? - can;t get through on any phone no.s at the moment.

Thnaks in advance for any info.

I'm going to that gig too...
Don't worry..I received an email earlier today telling me that my tickets will be despatched in 2-3 days.
I think they leave it until right near the date of the gig to send the tickets so touts and idiots on Ebay haven't got time to resell them at inflated prices.

But the order tracker has changed from 'we will despatch when these tickets are in hand' to 'these tickets will be despatched shortly' in the lat couple of days.

I think it's The Noisettes who I don't particularly like tbh which means more pre gig beers in Wetherspoons. I saw them live at Brixton just before 2nd album came out and they were superb. How 3 blokes make so much noise is amazing and I can't wait to see them again. My tickets have turned up today also.

If anybody goes to see them in the next week can they post a setlist pls?? Enjoy.

I always wonder that! And they're three skinny blokes too, but they somehow manage to make loads of noise and have incredible stage presence. Wicked!

We saw them in Manchester last night and they came on at 9.15. Check with the venue beforehand though - it only takes a phone call.

The Noisettes were abysmal. Muse were astonishing. If interested, here is the set list (hidden as a spoiler in case you'd rather be surprised):

Spoiler
1. Take a Bow
2. Hysteria
4. Assassin (extended)
3. Butterflies & Hurricanes
5. Plug in Baby
6. Map of the Problematique + Maggie's Farm riff
7. Muscle Museum
8. Forced In (instrumental)
9. Bliss (extended)
10. Feeling Good
11. Hoodoo
12. Invincible
13. Supermassive Black Hole
14. Time is Running Out
15. Stockholm Syndrome + riff + Glasto outro
Encore:
16. Starlight
17. New Born
18. Knights of Cydonia

I saw them at Eden and they blew me away. Glad to see that they will finish the set with 'that' tune (don't want to give it away!) !! There is a full review from last night's gig on nme.com - the stage set sounds amazing. Roll on NEC!

I'm getting excited now!
It's been 10 years since I last liked a band enough to bother go and watch them live so I'm expecting brilliance
Muse are awesome...

I also went to Manchester last night:
7.50 - 8.35 Noissettes
9.10 - 10.45 Muse

The pre-amble CDs before the concert were superb!

The Noissettes were ok-ish, a drummer like Animal from The Muppets and a singer immitating Siouxsie Sioux. They improved during their set.

The visual effects for Muse were fantastic but the sound seemed very distorted/muffled - maybe my location (first row of seats at the back of standing) - this wasn't a Muse specific thing and I'd see them again, but not at the MEN. Overall I was a bit disappointed and couldn't really get into the music.

Hmmm... Don't think me or my missus would agree with you there. But yes, the drummer did seem quite mad.

We were fairly close to you (block 113) and the sound was superb. Sounds to me like you're not a Muse fan though seeing as you said you "couldn't really get into the music."

Yeah, that's why I spent £30 on a ticket and buy their CDs, I'm sadistic like that! Mental note to choose block 113 next time. It was weird not being able to appreciate my favourites. But I think I'm in a mnority in quite liking the Noissettes, but then people have different tastes and neither of us is right.

It just came across as though you weren't a Muse fan. There were a lot of people there last night who appeared to have been dragged along with partners (my girlfriend, for example) so I'd thought maybe you were one such person, see? You also made no mention of having bought their CDs. But enough of this...

I've been to a heck of a lot of concerts at the MEN (about half a dozen at least this year alone) and the sound has usually been first rate to my ears, and last night was no exception. Maybe the sound of Matt's vocals could have been a little higher in the mix but I had no problems, and it all sounded great to both of us, and my girlfriend now counts herself as a Muse fan too.

Maybe your seat was in a slightly "dead" spot. We once saw Eddie Izzard there and were on the floor, dead centre, about thirteen or so rows from the front, and we couldn't hear a word he said as the speakers were aimed towards the sides and none faced the floor, so all we got were the echoes from the sides and back of the arena. Lots of people left during the interval and I emailed a complaint after the show. It worked out quite well as about a month later I received a cheque from the promoters for £80 (refunding the price of the tickets) and also a signed copy of Eddie's latest DVD.

Warning. Never buy from Tickettout. I'm meant to be going tomorrow in Cardiff, but the company have scammed me. When I bought them in July I looked for reviews and they were all good. I look now and all full of people being scammed.

I only got them from there because I wanted 2 and I got the last official one off ticketmaster. I got a refund on those and went with tickettout. I feel ill thinking about it.

I am so upset. It's my birthday tomorrow and they were a birthday present.

Thanks for this, very useful. I was sat dead centre and two rows back so that explains it. I have a very similar seat for Basement Jaxx in a few weeks so will try and move if there are any spare seats going higher up. Cheers!
