The Samsung sounds better due to it's higher spec .... but.... all the online reviews suggest the actual images it produces let it down.

The Kodak seems to score OK though and actually produces decent images but has less options to fiddle with.

Personally, I wouldn't buy either ..... I'd keep looking.

Keep looking, there's some fantastic Panasonic, Fuji and Olympus cameras in this price range!

Oh, and remember, megapixels aren't everything!

I second what Telly_Man says about megapixels.
Megapixels refers to the number of light-sensitive "dots" that the image is formed from.
In old cameras, this was the film in the camera, and the number of light-sensitive dots on film was equivalent to about 12 megapixels.
So a disposable film camera costing less than a fiver is a 12 megapixel camera. Does this mean it's going to produce brilliant photographs? Of course not.
There are numerous other things to consider apart from the megapixel rating which everyone has got themselves obsessed with... the quality of the lens for instance.

If its just snapshots you are taking and printing 6x4 or 7x5 they are much the same. 7 and 8mp makes little difference with only 3x optical zoom. The pics will look the same as 3 or 4mp.
I wouldn't buy any camera in argos, you won't get a decent, if any, demo of it.
