Hello there, and thank you for taking the time to read my problem.

Recently picked up a new Relisys RLT32AG20 from Tj Hughes on offer, and from reading reviews it didn't seem like a bad buy, considering my 27" CRT TV was dying!

Anyway, got it all tuned up, and working etc, but it just doesn't seem to have as crisp an appearance as I would have hoped, IE, there appears to be fuzziness around the edges of characters, and some of the colours quite dull.

I have seen countless options in the menu's such as Skin tones, shining, 'Magic' codes for colours etc, and to be honest, I'm a computer techy, this tv malarky has me stumped!

My setup is as follows:

Sky feed into sky box.
Scart from Skybox to Tv on 'Scart1'
Scart from Skybox to DVDRecorder to Tv on 'Scart2'
There is also a 'terrestrial' feed coming through to the TV too.

I also have the problem of having a Rev 4 remote so I can't find a relevant magic code to have the TV controlled by the Sky remote which is a problem, but not pressing at the moment.

I have played with all of the settings and can't seem to 'perfect' the art, I was hoping someone could help, with either, a 'master' reset to start the fun all over again, or whether anyone could suggest any pointers.

Finally, FWIW, the manual is terrible, its about 10 pages long and doesn't explain half of the options on offer, and by following the pictures, I have got this far!

Please save my sanity.

Thank you so much.

Have you tried setting the scart output on the SKY+ and DVD boxes to RGB (if the scart inputs are compatible, which at least one of them should be)?

If so, that's probably the best you'll get it. SD pictures on LCDs (esp HD Ready unless they have good conversion/upscaling chips) often does look blurry.

Sadly, its just a normal Sky box, but I'm sure theres a setting in Services, Picture Settings that I have already set to RGB to increase quality.

I should research whether both of the scart inputs on the telly are RGB compliant. I also wonder whether it would be beneficial to pick up some 'component' cables and try it that way?

Thank you very much for your input.

no component output on the SKY box (some don't even have RGB, but here's hoping!) but hopefully you will have component on the DVD player/recorder.

Just bought the Relysis model and have similar issues, looks amazing and tons of features, PIP etc, only thing is and I can't decide if it's a SKY issue or the TV but some channels seemed to have a bit of lag when people move, it looks strange and not realistic, maybe I need to play around with the picture settings although half of them I have never heard of before!

Hi
I also have just got the relisys RLT32AG20 for christmas and i am shocked with how bad the picture is.
Did you find any info out how to make the picture better? i.e. magic code? and what setting do you have. i have not tried the HD out yet.

Thanks
Andy

I bought a decent scart cable (£34) and played around with the settings and it's now a lot better, only channels I notice lag on are some of the films, not got HD yet but my XBOX 360 looks superb on it.
