DVD Recorder setup - faded colour?
I have a Lite On DVD recorder, and a pair of Freeview boxes (one to watch and one to record from). When viewing the Freeview box 'through' the DVD recorder, the colour is slightly faded, and the picture less sharp. To check this, there is a button on the remote called 'tv mode' which I think corresponds to something called Scart pass-through in the setup menu of the recorder.
I have a feeling this is to do with RGB/composite differences? The problem is, the DVD recordings all have the faded/less sharp picture and I basically wonder if anyone knows what on earth I mean and if there was any advice to make the picture as sharp as it looks on the tv. I have tried with two different freeview boxes and the difference in picture is the same, so the fault (feature?) is in the DVD recorder. I appreciate that this probably makes no sense whatsoever, but thanks for reading ![]() Setup is: Aerial - Freeview box 1 - scart to tv Aerial from freeview box 1 tv out to freeview box 2 aerial in Scart from Freeview box 2 to DVD recorder Scart from DVD recorder to tv. We need more information about your equipment like the model number of the DVDR.
Does it have RGB input or not? Your TV probably has only one RGB input scart. If so which is being used by which part of the setup. |
