Going to see them live for the first time tomorrow! Can't wait...anyone else going?

Has anyone been to a Muse concert before? What should I expect?

The last tour had one of the best light shows I've seen.

Saw them in Glasgow on Tuesday night, I thought they were awesome.
expect to experience a total attack of the senses, the lights and video stuff is fab and the performance from them is incredible. I dont know what else to say.
Hope u enjoy it as much I did.

Oh my god I did enjoy it! They ended with Knights and it was such a perfect moment...when the lyrics came flashing on the screen!

Bliss was my personal highlight though.....all these balloons were released at the end and I touched one!!!

See also here (from post 17 onwards) where I talked about the Manchester show when I was there on Friday.

I was at the Friday show.

It was amazing. Matt Bellamy has the most beautiful voice ever

We were seated so we didn't get near the balloons *jealous* but we did have a laugh when they started bursting

I went both nights, absolutely amazing! The crowd seemed more up for it on Fri, but the setlist was better on Sat (they played Citizen Erased! ). I managed to get on the barrier both nights, am still recovering now, I'm covered in bruises!

I am going to see Muse tomorrow at the NEC. What time did there set finish? I need to book a taxi on the way back?

Muse came on at 9.15pm on Fri, finished by 10.40pm. On Sat, they came on at 9.10pm and were finished by 10.45pm.

I'm not sure if its the same for all venues though. I guess as soon as you get there, ask one of the staff for the running order, and then book it once you know?

Don't suppose there'll be tickets left?

*runs off to check Ticketmaster*

They played Showbiz off Showbiz. Citizen Erased was IMMENSE, it's probably my fave Muse song. It was a 10 min version too, cos Matt had to retune his guitar at the start! I had a feeling they would play it because they didn't on Fri - I knew it would be a different setlist because on Sat they opened with Knights.

They also played City of Delusion - its first UK play, was pretty cool seeing Matt playing an acoustic guitar, and the trumpeter! He also gave his guitar away at the end of Stockholm Syndrome, I was a couple of people next to the girl who got it.

I did enjoy Assassin and Muscle Museum on Sat though - we didn't get those on Fri. Oh and Feeling Good, did you see Matt chuck his broken megaphone?!

Yeah, that was funny! Assassin was amazing live. Dom on the drums is just mental

Did they finish with Take A Bow on Saturday? I prefer ending with Knights rather than starting with it. Did you see on Friday when Matt took a bow?

xx

Yeah the version of Assassin live is ace, its longer too. They finished with Take a Bow, yeah. I agree Knights is better at the end though. Yeah Matt is so funny, I think he took several bows on Sat too. He's so dramatic with all his arm gestures through Knights too! "You and I must for fight our rights!"

Did you have standing tickets?

Hi, I went to see them in Montreal in August and it was a really short set. Was fantastic but too short.

I love his arm gestures in Knights! Very emotive. I loved it when he clapped in Starlight too.

Yeah I was standing!! Right in front of the mosh pit, pushing people in and avoiding injury

Did you see all the balloons during Bliss? That has to be my favourite Muse song ever and with the balloons it was perfect. I actually touched one!!!!With two fingers admittedly but I'm very proud of my leap to get there.

What was your highlight from Friday?

What else did they play on Sat that wasn't in Friday's setlist?

xx

I was on the left hand side, right at the front on the barrier, so had Matt more or less right in front of me! Managed to get on the barrier on Saturday too, but was more central, so a great view again, but got more crushed! Although I ended up in exactly the same place as on Fri, due to the “swaying” of the pit! The crowd was much rougher on Fri, loads of GUYS getting pulled out passed out, hope they were ok, must have been harsh in the middle of the pit. Hardly anyone came out on Sat.

I think I enjoyed every bit of Friday, was buzzing cos I’d waited to see them again for 3 years, and they didn’t disappoint! I think 1 balloon came near us on Fri, none did on Sat, they were all on the other side! When I saw Muse the 1st time, the balloons got released from a big net on the ceiling, must be too tricky to put them up there!

Just 3 songs different on Sat, no Muscle Museum, Assassin or Feeling Good, we got Citizen Erased, Showbiz and City of Delusion instead.

I wanna see them again!!!! Both gigs definitely up there in my top 5 gigs!

You lucky thing, getting muscle museum and showbiz - I saw them in cardiff on sunday and they didn't play either of them. It was a cracking show though and my legs still ache from all the leaping about I did!

Edit: Just spotted that you also got City of Delusion! Bloody hell, that wasn't played at cardiff either!

I just checked the Cardiff setlist, You didn't get anything off Showbiz?! That's a shame, they only did 1 night there too? And you got a song less, but on the positive side, you did get Citizen Erased!
