Bunton set for Neighbours

A FEW months ago it was announced some members of Neighbours' cast and crew would be heading for the UK.

The episodes filmed over here will be set in London and are due to feature a few well known faces.

Among those expected to make cameo appearances is former Spice Girl Emma Bunton, who's currently tripping the light fantastic in Strictly Come Dancing.

It won't be her first role in a soap opera. Before finding fame, she briefly cropped up in The Bill and was cast as a teenage mugger in EastEnders.

She also auditioned for the part of Bianca Jackson in the Walford-set serial, but lost out to Patsy Palmer.

Other celebrities expected to appear are chat show host Michael Parkinson, comedian Julian Clary, actor Neil Morrissey and DJ Jonathan Coleman.

The storyline in which they'll be involved is yet to be announced, although it will include Karl Kennedy and Susan Kinski.

The actors who play them - Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodburne - are currently in the UK filming, and have made a number of publicity appearances in the media.

Natalie Bassingthwaighte, who plays Izzy Hoyland, is rumoured to be returning for these special editions.

Her character recently left the episodes currently being broadcast Down Under, but will remain on UK screens for a little while longer.
