You know how it works now guys.....
Here are my views on the preformances, in order of who I felt was best tonight, and feel free to add your own at the end ......
Eton Road Ok, so I lied up there ^^
I don't actually think they were the best tonight, but they were very good, and I love them, so I kind of feel like a traitor if I said they weren't the best (Tweenish I know ). Bless Anthony tonight, for not telling his family about his chest infection, because he knew it would upset his nan. And for not using that as a makeshift excuse/sob story as he could have done. Just wanted to give them all hugs tonight.
I could have shot Louis for having them do dated choreography to a Beatles song, of all songs. He knew that if it went wrong, it could go very wrong. Why oh why didn't he either cut the choreography, or give them a different song? I hope they stay.
Nikitta I know this was the whole point, but her VT made me cry. I know I've probably said this before, but all the more so because her mother died from the same illness that mine survived, so it always hits home when I see things like that.
I'm not going to play up to Mr Nasty's ploy and vote for her (I'm voting for Eton Rd (!)), but I do think she is a million times better than Leona. In every way. So, Leona may have a stronger voice, but as I've said before, Nikitta has personality, and the ability to sing many different types of songs, not just ballads. Sharon was right, she looked amazing tonight, the song was a million miles away from last week, and it suited her loads better than 'Dancing Queen', one tip though lose the cheesy backing dancers!
Ben His best performance so far IMO. The only bit I really didn't like was the cheesy bit in the middle when he leant on that girl in the audience. (Who was so obviously a mole
). I'm not quite sure why he played his acoustic guitar at the beginning though, perhaps it would have been better if he had just sat on the stall for the beginning? His VT made me feel all emotional too. I don't know why, but to see grown men cry always makes me well up too.
Robert One word : Fantastic. Give the boy a bit of emotion and look what he can do. His VT didn't make me feel that emotional ,but it was a genuinely sad story. I think I liked this performance so much because he didn't over react it like he has done previous ones. And how long did he hold that note for in the middle/towards the end?! Stunning. He deserves to make it to the final ahead of Leona on that performance, if not that note, alone.
Ray All swinging and cheesy as per usual. My mum wasn't impressed with the 40 year old teenager. Still, I'd rather hear him swing the alphabet than have to sit through last weeks performance again, anythings better than that.
Leona :yawn: Yet another ballad. We all know Simon loves her We all know she has an amazing voice When will it end? (Although admittedly, she was in actual fact one of the best tonight.) If she's ever in the Bottom 2, whoever she's up against might as well not bother performing for a second time. She's going to walk it. (Unless Eton Road can snatch it away from under her nose
)
The Macdonald Bros They may be lovely guys, with a lovely family, but it was like bad kareoke wasn't it? Why they are still in there is beyond me. At least the guitar was left at home tonight though. They may as well leave now, I'm sure they will go home tonight. (Go on GBP prove me wrong
)
Overall verdict: Eton Rd drew the short straw. And why did Robert call Kate Thornton "Man"? (As in "fanks Man") Is there something she's not telling us?
