.06 Bug

Hi Folks,

Sorry if this is a known problem but despite a quick search I haven't found anything similar.

I've noticed this problem before but haven't actually had the time to investigate properly. Anyway, I recorded Torchwood tonight and have just sat down to watch it. On starting the programme I pressed the "i" button to check the programme information and I've got the programme information for The Last Aztec which is something I recorded and got rid of.

I suspect I may have the corruption problem mentioned elsewhere but, then again, perhaps it's something else. Wonder if I'm destined to lose a lot of recordings at some point too? Wish the damn PC transfer stuff worked properly! I should get around to trying the 3rd party version.

Cheers,

jahboo

Was that right at the start of the recording? Until the time when the programme was due to start, you will get the information for the programme transmitted before, especially if you used padding.

And that's why 'I' currently can't work in the recording list.

Same prob as taking the recording name from the datastream rather than the reservation list.

Nope. Showed the same thing right the way through the programme.

Sounds more like an EPG issue... nothing to do with the 9200T.

Could you give channel details.

it could also be an indication that the file list is getting corrupted, I suggst you watch or archive everything and upgrade to 1.08 software before restoring defaults and formating the drive to reset everything.

How would that effect the datastream of the recording?

It was BBC3 at 9pm or something. It's clearly some kind of corruption of the programme data on the disk.

I think the EPG info that was recorded is wrong...

You mean you think that the EPG contained info on the Aztec programme? How could I have selected Torchwood to record then?

I would go with your initial thoughts, and the advice given by redrob2

No.

The EPG data stream on BBC3 at that particular time.

You set the prog from the EPG at a different time which probably came from a different source e.g. the channel you switched on with!?!

I imagine that would be impossible. The EPG info I ended up with came from a programme that I recorded last week not last night.

redrob2/barry,

Yep, think I'm going to have to reformat. Ah well, if it's been hanging around on the disk for a year I'm never going to get around to watching it anyway!

I had a similar issue last week, I recorded vincent and watched it. THen recorded something totally different on a in the early hours, I think it was a film on film four. When pressing the info button I got details of Vincent again.

Not happened since. Although i have noticed other bugs with 1.06

Thats really interesting ... I've been musing on where the EPG info about a recording is saved and from you comments it must be in the solid state side of the storage system rather in the .ts file of the recording on disk. I wonder how they time index it.
