Problem with sound on my LCD LG 20" TV

I have had my 20" LCD LG TV for nearly a year now, but now all of a sudden the sound keeps on going off frequently. I then have to turn the set to standby and turn it on again for the sound to return. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Sounds like your speaker(s) is/are on the blink. Worth checking the scart connections if sound only goes off when watching Sky or DVD; sometimes the scart leads need reseating. If it goes off when watching normal TV then it is almost certainly the speakers that are on their way out.
