Charlie's Angels from Amazon.com (or not?)

customers who have pre-ordered charlie's angels from amazon.com have been receiving the following email -

We've recently learned from our supplier that the item you requested to be notified about, Charlie's Angels, will not be available in the foreseeable future.

It's possible that someone may be selling this item through Amazon.com Auctions or zShops. We encourage you to search for it there if you're still interested in purchasing this item.

it's gotta be a hoax though, surely? (maybe one of the 1300 staff they just laid off!) - as their website still even has it listed

I think this email was a mistake as the same was sent to customers who had ordered 'Meet the Parents'. I received an email about MTP and then another one saying it was a mistake. I have Charlie's Angels on pre-order and never received an email about a problem.

I have seen news about this on other forums, including the DVD Forums linked to http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk. The theory is that these were sent out by one of the employees that Amazon recently laid off.

They are definitely NOT official Amazon emails.
