OK, I have a TV with two scarts AV1 and AV2.
On AV1 I have my SKY + Box
On AV2 I have My Liteon DVD Recorder ported Through to My THOMPSON DHD4000 (HDD) PVR. At The moment I can record from my SKY + box on to my DVD recorder with no problems. However, I want to dump all the recordings of my Thompson DHD4000 PVR to the DVD Recorder.

Therefore my question is that is there any device I can put between the THOMPSON and DVD Recorder so I record from the PVR to The DVD recorder although they both share AV2 slot.

A SCART selector will not work as all it does is switch from one to the other.

You don't mention the Sky box being connected to the DVD recorder, so how are you recording from Sky ?

Normally, you would set it up like this:

PVR tv out -> DVD recorder in
DVD recorder tv out -> tv

That way, when your DVD recorder is off the signal from the PVR just loops-through to the tv. You can extend this daisy-chain method to more device, e.g. I have:

DVD/VCR combi -> NTL
NTL -> Topfield PVR
Topfield PVR -> DVD/HDD recorder
DVD/HDD recorder -> tv

This way I can watch / record from either the combi, NTL or Topfield. Also, everything is in RGB quality. Are both your tv scarts rgb ?

Exactly how i have my PVR and My DVD +/- Recorder...

Wharfedale 160DTR (PVR) [TV OUT scart] --> LG DR275 (DVD recorder) [AUX IN scart]

LG DR275 (DVD recorder) [TV OUT scart] --> TV SCART 1

Works a treat, and means i have other scarts free on my systems for my Nintendo Wii, PS2 and my XBOX... No wonder my kids LOVE it!

Daisy Chaining scarts is VERY useful and VERY effective too

Scarts are better at looping through the signal so you don't have to have the DVD recorder switched on to watch Sky on TV.

HDMI is costing me electricity.
