Ericsson K750i
40-40J's

Hi everyone!

I'm thinking of buying a new mobile and I was wandering if anyone had any knowledge of these phones - good or bad purchase? I usually have Samsung but am looking for a change.

Thanks in advance

I think you are better off posting in the mobile / technology section. They are the wise ones.

Porcupine is right, but the K750i is a good phone, I've had one for a year. Nice little camera, too, and very good battery life. You should be able to get one free with the contract now, it's been around for a while.

I have a K750i. It's a good phone, however it gets damaged really easily. I've had mine for 9 months, and it has loads of scratches and superficial damage.

Plus the joystick broke, so I had to send it to be repaired. On top of that, I think mine's on the way out already.. Hmmm. On second thoughts, it's not that good, really. I'm going to get a new one soon.

I've got the new Sony Ericsson w850i, it's a really good phone! All depends on what you want to use it for though I suppose, if you would use the mp3 player much etc. The Sony Ericssons seem to be a good make tho

THe K750i is a great phone but a little outdated now, it has been out for well over a year.
The W810i is the more updated version of it, comes with the walkman software, and a 512mb memory card as opposed to the 64mb one with the K750i.
I have had both in the past and both were equally good in terms of call quality, battery life and both have the same 2mp camera.

Compared to any samsungs around, the menus on the Sonys are better, and the phones better in general.

it's a good phone, I used it until I got an LG Chocolate (which was a BIG mistake as they are sh*te). I wish I could go back to my k750i but as my new phone is on a different network it is impossible.

K750i can be unlocked very easily.
Go down to your local market and someone there will be able to do it. This enables it to take any Sim card.

I upgraded to a K750i from a Samsung, and really missed my samsung, then a week after getting it a dropped it and the screen smashed and the whole thing broke. Rather oddly I have dropped my Samsung (and stepped on it!) around 20 times and it looks almost as good as new!!

I didn't like it personally, and thought it was very easily destroyed!!

Thanks for all your replies.

I have asked for my thread to be moved to the 'wise ones' section

I think I may stay with the Samsung range (I'm a coward )

Ericsson phones are nice at first but the joystick goes on them and without that its pretty hard for the phone to function, so I say get another phone :P

Not necessarily. You should be able to get the phone unlocked for about £10. Ask at one of your local phone shops, they might know where to find someone.
