I dont think theres a better network as such it depends the tariff you choose, Yeah Tesco value is 10p a min to any network and 5p a text (i think) but you can't get any freebies so it really depends on what you need.

T-Mobile pay as you go are giving unlimited free evening and weeekend texts to new customers and you can have 3p texts in the day to any UK network if you change to the text appeal tariff like I have.

with 3 you top up £25 you get 500 text at 1p 50 voice min and £1.50 credit you can do add text £5 or £10 that's 75 or 200 text plus you get free msn messenger http://www.three.co.uk/priceplans/PAYGindex.omp

But you can get 500 texts on O2 and Vodafone for £15 or 1000 on T-Mobile for £30 so really £25 for 500 texts is a waste of money.

Plus the 3000 free evening and weekend texts on T-Mobile so in theory your buying 4000 texts for £30.

they charge 1p you send a text it gos down in 1s like 500 499 so on on the 10p one it gos 100 190 so on and on vodfone it gos down in 12s because there text are 12p i find it good because it last longer

All networks do that. If you have 500 texts left and send one it goes down to 499 texts left.

No it doesn't go down in 10s and 12s I'm sorry if you buy 500 texts you get 500 texts no matter what network it is.

But you are paying £25 for 500 texts, and 50 voice minutes. if the texts are only 1p each, that would be £5, buying you 50 voice minutes for £20, at 40p a minute!!!! Hardly good value. If texts were truly 1p each then you would get 2500 texts for £25, not 500!!

Vodafone texts are only 10p a text now. Top up £10, buy a 200 text pack, send 50 texts monday - friday and get all your weekend calls and texts free. Your £10 text pack would last 4 weeks if you limited yourself to 50 texts monday-friday.

Well clearly you were doing something wrong then as on my Voda i bought 675 texts for £20.

Also now on Voda you can call any network for an hour for 30p after 7.30pm and free calls and texts to any UK network at weekends if you spend £5 in the week.

If you have bought 675 texts they still count towards your weekly spening for free weekends.

EXAMPLE:
Credit £6.75
Free texts 500
Spend £2.50 for free weekends

Send a text message

Credit £6.75
Free texts 499
Spend £2.40 for free weekends

No one offered bundles back then. Only O2 gave you 300 texts for a £10 top up but compared to what you can get now days thats nothing. You'll realise £25 for 500 texts is a total rip off once you've looked around.

You can get 500 texts for a £15 top up on O2.
3000 free evening and weekend texts for a £10 top up on T-Mobile.

They probably realised customers have been going elsewhere, they were very expensive.
