Hi everybody,

as I mainly text to Germany from a (currently) Voda contract phone and it's costing me far too much I'm looking for alternatives which are cheaper than 20p per text. I know there are websites around wheer sms can be sent to anywhere for free but I'd like to do it from the phone when I'm on the go and not bbe bound to a PC.

Anybody got any suggestions or ideas as to how and where to keep the costs down?

Thanks a bunch
Judith

try using smsbug.com you have to download the application to your phone and then top up with credits. You can then send txt anywhere in the world direct from your phone for just a few pence. It also makes sending a txt whilst roaming very cheap too! It also allows you to grab contacts direct from your phone book so its just like using your phone's inbuilt sms. The only other cost is the data charge from the network but this hardly costs nothing as you are only sending a little bit of data.

Hope this helps.

VGSMail is my favourite, it's the most versatile I've found. Not quite as cheap as smsbug (4.2p/sms I think).
